"Be there when I can't"

I laughed bitterly to myself as I walked home.

I knew this was going to happen. I knew he was going to leave her but she didn't believe me. Though I know him going away is for a good reason, I can't help but think that he betrayed Dianne. My best friend, my one and only,

The love of my life.

Yes, I know. I know I told her that I'll go back to being her best friend but you know what they say, first true love never dies.

Before going straight home, I went to bituinbucks to get my regular order. I sat down where Dianne and I would usually sit, and my mind went back to where we first met, where I fell in love.

Flashback

"I'm broken, do you hear me? Im blinded cause you are everything I see" the girl behind me sang out loud to herself.

"I'm dancing alone, I'm praying that your heart will just turn around." She must be oblivious that she's singing this loud...

"As I walk up to your door, my head turns to face the floor cause I can't look you in the eyes and say" her voice is pretty good though..

"When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight, it just won't feel right. Cause I can love you more than this, yeah" she sang and I blended along with her.

"When he lays you down I might just die inside it just won't feel right, cause I can love you more than this, can love you more than this" she slowly took her headphones off but continued singing and turned around to look at me.

"Hi" I smiled.

"Hello" she smiled back. "You have a very lovely voice" she blushed at my words. "You too. Didn't realize I was singing so loud, though" she laughed and I laughed along with her. She's gorgeous..
