Chapter 28

"So you don't know who won?" My friend, Emer, said through our Skype call. He was currently in California but would be back in a few days.

"Nope, not yet. I hope it's Liam though" I muttered the last part so Louis and Harry and Niall and Liam won't hear. I was currently in their hotel room at this ungodly time of the morning. Emer laughed. "Why are you laughing?" I asked.

"I don't know, I guess Niall is just really more attractive for me. Why did you choose Liam again? See, Niall is more handsome and he's very sweet and his eyes are just to die for" Emer rambled without knowing that Niall sat beside me at the mention of his name and he heard every word.

"Really? Aww that's sweet I'd like to meet you someday." Niall said as he blew a kiss to the camera and left.

"DIANNE! You didn't tell me he was there!" Emer exclaimed.

"I love you Ems! See you in a few days" I smiled at him and he rolled his eyes before smiling back.

Security then escorted me home without giving me a chance to say goodbye to the boys.

"

"Dad?" I said slowly as I approached my father who was currently fixing breakfast. "Yes dear? Good morning" he smiles as he kissed my forehead.

"Um, about the two boys last night... Who won?" I asked and Dad smiled as he said "Iñigo."

Liam called me a few hours after I got the news that Iñigo won. He already knew that Iñigo would go on a date with me and he was quite fine with it. I was honestly disappointed, but he forgives Iñigo anyway so I shouldn't feel bad.

"You have fun tonight okay?" Liam says through the phone.

"Yes, I will. I'll miss you though" I answer.

"I'll miss you too. Hey Dianne,"

"Yes?"

"Just... don't fall... for him. Please."

"... I won't. What makes you say that?"

"Nothing.. See you soon"

"I'll see you." Call ended.

My mom entered my room as soon as I put the phone down. She smiles as she asks me how I feel about tonight.

"I.. I don't know mom I'm fine with everything but he's my best friend. It feels so wrong" I answered truthfully. "I don't see what's wrong if it's true love we're talking about" she winked and left my room. True love?

I waited for hours for Iñigo to arrive. Still feeling sappy about the whole situation. I should be going out with Liam tonight, not Iñigo. After a few hours of waiting and getting ready, the doorbless rang.

"Iñigo's here!" Mom yelled from downstairs and I walked down the stairs slowly.

He was there waiting for me with a smile and his smile grew even wider when his eyes met mine.

"Hey" he said. "Hi" I shyly replied. This felt like the start all over again.

"Bring her back by 9pm okay? You two have fun!" Dad said as they both practically shoved us out the door.

"Okay?" Iñigo said awkwardly and we laughed as we went to his car. Iñigo opened the door for me and waited for me to sit inside before closing the door. I watched dad he got in he driver's seat and turned the engine on.

"Seatbelts." He said. Oh right. I nodded before putting my seatbelt on and he started driving.

"Dianne, I just want to say that I'm sorry. I really wasn't myself. I fell for you, I know that's wrong. Best friends shouldn't fall for each other and I did that. I even hurt Liam. I'm sorry for all I've done, Dianne. I really messed up didn't I? I promise I won't do anything bad again. Im very very sorry" Iñigo said sincerely as he looked from the road and to me repeatedly.

"I know, Iñigo. Everything's fine. You're good and Liam's forgiven you. We aren't mad don't worry" I explained. "Thank you" Iñigo smiled at me.

A few small talks later, we finally arrived at the pier. Why are we at the pier?

Iñigo helped me out of the car and we both walked to a yacht. He got in first and helped me get on it.

"A yacht? You have a yacht?" I said, amazed at the beauty of the yacht. "Yes. Well, no. It was my uncle's but I bought it from him last night for this so called date for well, let's say a slightly cheaper price." Iñigo explained as we sat down on the dining table and chair he had set up.

All for me?

Don't fall.

"Are you crazy?! You bought this just for our date?" I asked. He laughed and nodded.

"This is expensive!" I said, completely confused and in rage with everything. "You're worth every penny" Iñigo smiled at me.

Don't fall.

"And now, I want to make a toast" Iñigo said as he filled my glass and his glass with wine.

"So we can start all over again. Dianne Jazz Perez, I messed up and I want us to start all over again. I promise to be here for you always as your best friend. I'll be here whenever you need me and I won't hesitate to beat up whoever will break your heart" Iñigo said and I laughed. Don't fall.

"To staying best friends!" We both said as we made a toast.

"I missed you Dianne. And I promise that I won't ever leave you again. No matter what happens, whoever enters and leaves your life, I'll always stay." Iñigo said.
