Chapter 20

Iñigo

Who's that?

I saw another car and a man got out from it.

It's...

Him.

Why is he here? Isn't he supposed to be preparing for tour or something? I suddenly felt a knot twist in my stomach. That's okay. You'll get her.

But Dianne likes him... Not me...

He's not supposed to be here! He's not supposed to be ruining my plans!

HE HAS FLOWERS TOO!

Okay, keep your calm Iñigo . You can do this. You'll go in there and get what's rightfully yours.

I got out of the car with full confidence (on the outside. Inside, I was slowly losing hope) and walked up the porch beside HIM.

"Oh! Hey there Inigo" Liam smiled at me and I replied with a simple "Hi" and turned my face back to Dianne's door.

Focus. Focus on her, not on him. 

He rang the doorbell as I harshfully (not on purpose, don't judge.) knocked (banged) on the door.

Here we go...

Liam

She has visitors right now?

Oh.

Ohhh.

It's Iñigo .

My eyes widened in realization as to why he's here so I immediately got out of the car and walked up to Dianne's door with full confidence.

It should be obvious to him why I'm here, and the look on his face from my peripheral view shows that he is NOT happy.

That makes two of us, then.

I notice the bouquet he's holding and my uneasiness overcame me. Which will she like more? That's for her to know and us to find out.

He stands up beside me and I muster up all the happiness I can give and greet him. Only to be greeted back with a "Hey" and a slight eye roll.

Okay...

I look to my side and press the doorbell as he kind of banged on the door a little too harshly.

Let's do this...

Dianne

"I've got a fire for a heart, I'm not scared of the dark you've never seen it look so e-"

ding dong

BANG BANG

What the heck?

I didn't mind the noise and went back to my music.

"-easy. I've got a river for a soul and baby you're a boa-"

DING DONG

BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG-

"IM COMING!"I yelled at the top of my lungs. Impatient!

I got into decent clothes and rushed downstairs.

I opened the door only to be greeted by two gentlemen I definetely wasn't expecting.

"Hi babe"

"Hey Di"

"Oh... Hi..." I said slowly and I stepped to the side as I let them both in, without a word.

"So um what brings you guys here?" I said with wide blown eyes because why ARE they here? Liam is supposed to be preparing for tour and  Iñigo is supposed to still be mad at me. Or something.

They both sat down at the sofa at my command, and still didn't say anything. I did observe  Iñigo side-eyeing Liam, though.

"I got you Daisies" Iñigo suddenly said and sprang up from the sofa.

"I got you Sunflowers, sunshine" Liam followed and stood up beside Inigo. I blushed at his words and Liam gave a little side smile.

This time, they glared at each other. Okay calm down. 

"Wow, um thanks you guys! I um" I said as they both handed me their flowers.

"Why dont I get us all something to drink, yeah? I'll be back" I said with a smile and quickly exited to the kitchen. Little did they know that I was listening to their little conversation.

I put the sunflowers and daisies on the counter and smiled at the sunflowers. Those were my favorite. I then went to the door and eavesdropped.

"So... what brought you here?"  Iñigo asks.

"I miss Dianne so I thought I'd visit her for awhile" Liam says. Aww, that sweetie. I do miss him though...

"For awhile?" Iñigo asks.

"Yes, why?" Liam replies.

"You do know she likes you right?" Inigo said and my eyes widened. What?! 

"Why are you ma-" Liam was cut off by Inigo.

"She likes you very much. Even more than she likes me and we've known each other for years. She deserves someone who'll stay, Liam. Forever. Not just someone who'll make her feel loved for awhile then leave her hanging for stupid shows on the other side of the world." Iñigo  stated.

"Inigo you dont know what you're saying I wo-"

"I think you should leave."   Iñigo said and I saw Liam have a pull a pained expression. That was my cue to get out there.

"HEY GUYS! I got us lemonade hahahaha" I said nervously as I stood in front of them both seated on the sofa.

"Dianne." Liam said as he stood up and kissed my cheek while holding my face in his right hand. "I'll... see you around. I missed you." Liam continued and he walked out the door slowly and I swear I saw a tear roll down his cheek.

Don't walk away! Fight for me, Damn it!

I just stared down at the floor and tears were welling up again. Those needed to stop.

"Hey, I'm here."  Iñigo said and he came closer to me. I removed his hand from my arm and looked at him with a few tears on my face.

"Why did you have to do that?" I asked in a hushed tone.

"What do you mean? He left on his own will"  Iñigo  lied.

"How dare you lie to me! I was listening, I heard every word!" I yelled.

He looked confused for a moment. 

"Okay, Im sorry for lying but can't you see? You cant be with him, Dianne! It's pure nonsense! He may love you, but he'll leave you!" Iñigo  said rather loudly. 

"I'd rather be with someone halfway around the world that loves me than be with a selfish liar." I said slowly.

Iñigo got really mad.

"WHY ARE YOU SO BLIND, DIANNE?!" Iñigo yelled and stormed out of my house and rushed to Liam's car that was just backing up from the parking area...
