Chapter 26

5 days later...

"Okay, we have a family jeep we don't really use anymore. Think you can drive this around for let's say.. An hour? The one with the most money wins this one." Dad said loud enough for me to wake up.

What is even going on downstairs?

I rushed down the stairs to see Liam and Iñigo in front of our house and my Dad in front of them.

"Dad?" I said.

"Dianne you're awake!" My dad smiled at me. "Your suitors here think they can just date you that fast. Well it takes more than that for me" Dad explained.

"Liam! You're fine now?" I said trying go ignore Iñigo. "I still have a bandage on my head but it's small, I'm okay" Liam said, handing me a sunflower slowly as he smiled at me.

"Your mom called me, that's why I'm here" Iñigo tried to look at me and I just nodded.

"Dad? Can they not do this? Its embarassing me.." I said and he shook his head.

"The gentleman who wins, wins a date with you. Let's see how far they can go for my lovely daughter. Now go inside. I'll handle everything from here." My father explained as he rushed me inside and kissed my forehead.

I just watched from the living room window with my hands perched on the window sill.

"Liam, let's go first. You know how jeepneys work?" Dad asked with a smirk and he cheerfully nodded while putting on his disguise.

He got into our jeepney that hasn't been used in ages! Paddy got in it too.

"Hey, no bodyguards. Just him. He has a disguise he can do it" My Dad patted Paddy on the back. What?! He might get mobbed!

"Liam! Stop! Don't do this it's stupid" I ran out of the house to Liam.

"Not it's not. I'll do anything for you. This is not close to half of what im willing to do and sacrifice for you. Now go back in" Liam explained and I nodded as I went back in the house.

One hour later...

"Okay, Iñigo you go." My dad said, causing me to wake up again. I fell asleep on the couch.

Liam went down the jeep looking all sweaty from the diguise. Not that I was complaining...

Iñigo then roared the engine and left.

He came back an hour later looking accomplished and handed what he earned to my dad.

"Both bags are heavy boys! Let me compute this inside. Stay here." My dad said as he entered our house and sat beside me, counting the earnings.

He smiled to himself when he finished.

Dad went outside with a smile. "Liam, you won with 290 pesos and Iñigo only has 180 pesos. Liam, you get one point." My dad patted Liam on the back and he jumped in joy.

"Next challenge.. Who knows how to catch a pig and a chicken? I was on the way to my father's farm in Batangas today, what a great timing! I could use some help." My dad went to his car and ushered the boys to go in with him.

"HEY! I can't come?" I asked as I rushed out to my dad's car. "Nope, stay here and wait for your mother to come home from work." He said as he kissed my forehead and I nodded in defeat.

I texted Liam as soon as I got in.

To Liam:

Liam you don't have to do this

From Liam:

Hey, i wnt 2 and ur dad seems to b enjoying us doing these things haha

To Liam:

Okay.. Win for me, please? My dad is still so embarrassing. I can't even

From Liam:

No, he's cute. And you CAN even, Dianne. Xx see you

I closed my phone after that and waited for them to arrive.

Hours later, they finally came back and all three boys entered the room.

"Iñigo won, fair and square. Liam just can't catch the chicken!" Dad said as he left for the bathroom.

"What?! That's it? What even is the point of this, dad?" I asked. "Needed help in the farm!" He shouted back. I mentally groaned.

"Don't worry there's one more challenge left" Dad told me again.
