Chapter 31

Liam hurriedly guided me far from the hotel and held my hand in his. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of our hands interlocked. I wish it could stay like this forever.

"I have to tell you something later but for now let's just enjoy this moment" Liam smiled at me and I nodded happily. As long as I'm with the one I love, I'll be more than happy to do anything.

We both ran to the the big ferris wheel by the bay called "moa eye" I think? I can't really remember. He got us tickets and we got in.

I felt nauseated at some points but he held on to me tight and told me he'll "never let me go".

After that, we went to a small kiosk and got us some food. Specifically, shawarma. Liam didn't like it though so I just ate his. He didn't mind at all anyway. Liam ended up buying candy.

"Sige mabubusog ka niyan" I sarcastically said to him and he just looked at me, clearly confused. "I said you look handsome tonight" Liam smiled.

Overall, we were just eating and laughing while pointing at endless things. This simple evening made me that happiest I ever was. Even happier than that time I went to OTRAMNL, and way happier than my date with Iñigo. I did enjoy that though nothing will top this moment. Where I'm with the one I love the most. I wish he knew I loved him though...

I know he's leaving in 2 months and I'm starting to condition myself. I'm not yet fond at the thought of him leaving, but two months is still a long way from now. I have to enjoy what's with me right now and live in the moment.

"You do know that this place means a lot to me, right?" Liam said as he paid for the cotton candy he bought from the vendor and continued walking by the bay. "Yeah. It was that night after the concert" I smiled to myself at the memory.

"The night I knew I wanted us to be more." Liam stopped walking as he said those words. Is he going to ask me to be his girlfriend?

"I really want that Dianne. I want to spend my life with you. Except maybe.. We can't start now" Liam said slowly and I cocked my head in confusion.

"Wait before anything else. Dianne Jazz Perez," Liam said. I nodded for him to continue.

"I love you. With all my heart, soul, and mind. I will do anything for us to be, Dianne. But maybe now is not the right time." Liam said. Tears we're starting to fill my eyes. Tears of Joy? Or sadness? Even I couldn't tell.

"I love you too, Liam. I always have." I said and he smiled and hugged me tight.

I was still confused with what he said though so I let go of his grip on me and looked at him straight.

"What do you mean nows not the right time? Liam, you have two more months with me. That's more than enough time" I said. He laughed nervously and shook his head. He took my hands in his before saying,

"Management called... I will leave in a few days. I pleaded them to cancel everything but they wouldn't budge." Liam started.

"And I wont be back. For a long time." Liam said and that's when I felt my heart starting to break into a thousand pieces.

This pain and sadness I felt is even greater than the time when I learned I couldn't go to their concert. I felt like I couldn't breathe.

"I-I thought you'd do anything for me?" I asked as the tears fell rapidly on my cheeks. Liam nodded many times and forced me to look at him.

"I would, Dianne. In the right time though, destiny will decide what's right." He said.

"If its meant to be, it will be." Liam said.

"But I thought we're meant to be" I whispered to myself.

"Dianne, I love you. I love you so much and I won't forget you, ever. If I'm not mistaken, I leave in exactly 2 days." Liam said and I nodded numbly. Nothing he said right now made sense to me but I just nodded.

"We may be apart for a long time, but I want you to know that I'll never forget you" Liam said.

"You'll always be my first love. The first girl I've ever fallen for. Thank you for teaching me how to love, Dianne." Liam said and leaned closer.

"Thank you for showing me what true happiness is even if it's just in a matter of months, Liam." I said with all my heart as I leaned closer, meeting him halfway.

And our lips met.
