Virus bending

Crystal helped me up as Jack was crying and screaming for Ginger to wake up.
„What is going on here?! Ginger would never act out like this!"
„This wasn't Ginger."
I hold my throbbing back and sunk against the wall outside the room. The cries of Jack were less loud that way. She seemed confused by my words, but that was normal.
„This was a killing virus. One that can switch to other AI systems and...kill or cause destruction."
„And why do you know about this?!"
Her voice had anger and frustration inside. Her colleague was injured and the AI we all had been working on was infected with a virus that ended up with Crystal having to shoot them.

I looked tired up at her and had to speak. There was no point in keeping secrets if the world might collapse.
„He is a virus that Sun and Moon both had to suffer through...he was originally inside a chip of another Animatronic named Freddy, but...he somehow escaped..."
I slowly stood up and looked back to the ground. It was my fault that he is still alive. I have to take responsibility for my actions.
„Crystal I can't explain everything right now, but you have to shut all electronics down before it's to late. I have to get the only person who is able to delete this virus completely."
She raised a brow and looked even more enraged.
„What?? No! You have to explain everything now!"

She didn't let me go away and stared in anger, but also in worry to me. We had no time to waste. There was no choice.
„EXPLAIN Y/N!!"
„Fuck it's my fault! Okay?! I wanted to save Freddy's AI and forgot and now we are dangerously close to a psycho immortal killer controlling the whole internet and electricity!"
My words bursted out of me without any stopping. All the self doubt I had the past months hunted me down.
„I chose wrong and we all will DIE if you don't shut this stupid electricity down! Because I chose WRONG!"
My eyes started to tear up at the thought that everything was my fault.

Crystal stayed silent for a while. Her expression remained without emotions as she slapped me.
„Get a hold of yourself. You aren't a kid begging for forgiveness."
I looked slowly up in her face. Her words were true. I shouldn't whine, not now. Self pity is not something I have time for.
„Get your weird friend. I will shut down all the power till you come back. Just be fast cause the emergency power will come online after two hours once the system is out."
She finally let me pass and walked away from me in a fast pace. This was a battle against time than. I ran out of the facility and didn't even wait for the bus. It would take to long. Running in the cold weather was not good though.

My face got red from the cold and my lungs were aching. Sweat dripped down from my back as I hoped I wouldn't slip on the snowy ground. It didn't help that it was snowing and that the clouds grew thicker with each passing moment. As if the weather was already telling me what the outcome will be. My feet got tired quickly and I was out of breath as I stood barely in front of Michael's shack. With shivering hands I knocked loudly and tried to catch some air. Ennard opened the door confused and looked down at me.
„Uhh- bad timing."
„Afton is on the run."
„No he isn't. He got burnt in the fire."
„No...he didn't..."

Ennard crossed his arms and would frown if he would be in his human disguise suit.
„What."
His words spit like venom down on me and I clenched my fists together.
„Look you can be angry at me all you want once this is over, but I need Michael's help to stop him! We got less than two hours before he reaches a network!"
He looked like he wanted to punch me, but hold back as his eyes darted between me and the inside of the shack.
„Fuck all of you damn humans..."
He stepped out of the shack and ripped out a wire from his body to lock the door. I could hear Michael banging against the door and shouting at us.

„ENNARD!! Don't you dare to leave me in here! Let me out!!"
„...You will thank me later Michael."
He dragged me away from the shack and I looked panicked at his body.
„Ennard you can't go like that! There are others who will see you and-„
„Shut up. It's not the time to think about this stupid thing. I can always get back to hiding."
„But we are dealing with this killer! He could infect you and you would be his puppet!"
He didn't respond to that and only kept walking more. His hand on my arm felt heavy and hot. Even through the jacket I could feel his anger seething.
„You will not be free anymore!"
No answer.
