(Still) 3rd person POV

Chat was jumping on rooftops towards his house, smiling like an idiot. He had just kissed his crush! He was ecstatic. When he landed in his room he called off his transformation, and changed into his pajamas, these ones weren't themed, just a simple pair of black pants and t-shirt. He moved his disguise Marinette made for him into a bag so he could easily hide it from anyone that came into his room and so he could easily find it himself. He gave Plagg some cheese and went to head to bed when he heard a knock on his door. "Yes?" He called back. Gabriel then entered the room. "Adrien, may I have a word?" Adrien nodded. "This morning Natalie came into your room to wake you up, but you didn't respond nor were you even here. You weren't at school and none of your friends knew where you were." Adrien's face grew pale. "So answer me, where were you all day today, I almost called the police." Adrien didn't know what to say, he couldn't tell his dad that he was Chat Noir! And he didn't have a very good excuse to give him either, so he stayed silent trying to think of what to say. "Are you not going to say anything!?" Adrien flinched as his father raised his voice at him. Gabriel sighed, "I've given you the chance to go to school, to have fun with your friends, but yet you snuck out and skipped school!" Adrien raised his eyes to look at his father. "I didn't mean to skip school, and I didn't mean to worry you father!" His father looked at him. "You didn't mean to? You wouldn't have if you just stayed home and hadn't snuck out!" He sighed once more. "As punishment, you will not be allowed out of your room unless it's for a photoshoot or ad, I'll call professor Damocles and tell him that you won't be at school for a few days." he turned around and left the room, "I hope this teaches you not to sneak out." He shut the door then closed and locked it behind him, the sound of his footsteps echoing as he walked down the hallway to his own room. Adrien was so angry, it wasn't his fault! And now his father is taking one of the few things that made him happy away from him! He wanted to scream at the top of his lungs and tear his hair out. Plagg flew up to him. "You okay kid?" Adrien looked at him and shook his head. "I get that I shouldn't have stayed out all night, and I didn't mean to, but taking away one of the few things that make me happy! Even if only for a few days!" Plagg's face softened looking at him. Then they both had an idea and looked at each other, with the same face. "Hey Adrien, I know you're grounded but you know who isn't." Plagg said to him, Adrien smirked at him, then at the same time they both said, "CHAT NOIR!" They both laughed quietly, and before transforming, Adrien thought about where he would go when he snuck out again, but a thought appeared in his mind. "I think I know exactly where to go." Plagg looked at him with a knowing face. He quickly transformed and grabbed the bag that held his disguise and jumped out of the window, going right back to where he felt most at home, Marinette's place. He arrived quickly and landed quietly on Marinette's balcony, taking out his spare key and unlocking the trapdoor, before jumping in though, he peeked his head through, and carefully landed right next to Marinette's bed. Setting down the bag and placing the key inside it. He closed the trapdoor once more. He detransformed and sat on the floor by Marinette's bed. Grabbing the mask from his bag and putting it on, if Marinette woke up and saw Adrien in her room she'd be very confused. He eventually fell asleep against the wall. Marinette woke up to see Chat Noir asleep against her wall, she was of course confused but picked him up and set him in her bed. She went downstairs into the kitchen to make both of them some food. Marinette called Alya after setting both plates down, after she was done with the call she'd get Chat. "Hey girl, are you okay? I saw the news last night," Alya said, picking up the phone almost immediately. "Hey Als, I'm, okay, this is gonna be hard, and if Shadowmoth saw the news, this could give him an advantage." Alya nodded, even though Marinette couldn't see her. "Yeah, this is getting dangerous now. You think I could convince Chloé to get the news station to take down the video and stuff?" Marinette laughed a little, "Maybe, it might be a good idea to ask. And as you could've guessed, I'm not going to be at school today." Alya noticed something in Marinette's voice. "M, what's on your mind, it sounds like you're rushing to get everything important out of the way." Marinette sighed, 'I can't hide anything from her.' Marinette thought, "You're right, you always are. But um, you know how I told you yesterday that I didn't love Adrien anymore?" Alya was suspicious but excited at the same time. "Yeah, what about it?" The excitement in her voice was evident across the phone, and Marinette found herself getting excited herself. "Well, um, after his visit last night I was seeing him off, as I usually do, but he hesitated before leaving, and I was obviously confused. And he quickly turned around and gave me a peck on the lips and then he left!" Marinette kind of blurted out the last part, but Alya understood perfectly. "That's amazing M!" Alya was ecstatic. "And um, he's also here right now, I don't know why, but I think he came back last night so I prepared us both breakfast." Alya was quiet, clearly in her thoughts. "Maybe something at home happened and he felt he had to go to you?" Marinette thought about it for a moment, "You're probably right, he's told me he doesn't have the best relationship with his dad and this place felt more like home than the place he lived at did." Alya hummed. "Yeah, that makes sense, and a quick question as I have to leave for school soon. Can I tell Nino you like Chat?" Marinette sighed, "Yeah, you can, I feel okay with him knowing." They both smiled, even though neither of them could see each other. "Thanks girl, I gotta go now, I'll stop by later to drop off your homework and stuff. And I'll ask Chloé if she can help us, okay?" Marinette smiled. "Yeah, thanks Al, see you" Then the call ended. She went up to her room to wake up Chat and tell him about breakfast. "Hey kitty," she said softly, shaking him a little. He stirred slightly. "I made breakfast, it's time to wake up." He opened his eyes a little. "Come on minou" she laughed. "Nooo," he said, 'I guess he's not much of a morning person.' Marinette sighed and picked Chat up and took him down stairs. Upon being picked up Chat was wide awake and hung on to Marinette until she set him down so they could eat. "Uh, t-thank you," he said looking at her. She smiled and sat down next to him. "Of course" they ate their breakfast together in a comfortable silence. After they had both finished eating, Chat took all of the dishes and started cleaning them. "You can go upstairs and get ready, I'll clean," he smiled at her. She smiled back and went upstairs to change. After he finished he took out his phone and texted Nino. 'Hey Nino, just wanted to update you on everything really quick, respond when you can. My dad grounded me because I was asleep at Marinette's house (and couldn't tell him that) so I ran off and I'm with Marinette right now, and I won't be at school because that was his punishment, and I'm gonna stay with Mari. I do have to tell you I love Marinette and you can tell this to Alya, and since you guys hate keeping secrets from each other, you can tell Alya about my secret identity. I also gave Marinette a peck on the lips last night. I'm kind of hurrying to tell you everything. Respond at lunch or something.' He quickly typed it and sent it before Marinette came back downstairs. He knew he wouldn't get a response at the moment as Nino was probably in class right now, but he knew he would get one. Marinette came back downstairs a moment later and Adrien went up so he could change into his outfit Mari made him. He wanted to plan something romantic where he would tell her about his feelings. But he probably couldn't now, so he would do it tonight.
