3rd person POV

Marinette and her father prepared a breakfast croissant for all of them, each of them different to match each different person's taste. "Wow! This is delicious!" Marinette blushed a little bit. "I'm glad you like it." Chat smiled sweetly at her. Sabine turned on some music for them in the background, while they talked, it was an overall great night, Marinette's parents got to know about Chat, who he was and all that, Chat got to get closer to Marinette's family, and Marinette didn't have to hide Chat anymore. Chat and Marinette collected everything they used for dinner and cleaned them together while Marinette's parents talked about Chat and Marinette. "Chat, said I could tell you this, because he not only trusts us he is comfortable with both of us knowing." Sabine whispered to her husband. "Marinette has something she wants you to know as well." Tom whispered back. Sabine nodded. "Well, he says that he loves Marinette!" Sabine said in an excited but quiet tone. Tom's face lit up, "That's amazing! Marinette told me that she loves him too! That's why I screamed yes." He said in a slightly louder voice, but still not loud enough for either of the teens to hear. (By the way, Chat did tell them about stuff like his age.) "This is amazing! Do you think Marinette has told Alya or any of her other friends yet?" Sabine asked "I think maybe Alya, she tells her everything, but I don't know about anyone else." Sabine nodded in agreement. "I don't think we should tell Marinette or Chat that they both love each other back, because what if one of them is planning something, it would ruin the surprise." Tom said to Sabine, she nodded once again. "But, I do think we should at least help them a little bit," Tom nodded back. "What are you two whispering about?" Marinette asked from behind them. They both turned their heads to look back at her. "Your father was just telling me about what you told him about school dear." Marinette nodded. Tom grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. "How about we check the news?" He asked them. They all agreed to. "But don't turn the news on yet," Marinette said. Her parents were confused while Chat made his way to Marinette's room to detransform and change into the outfit she had made him. "I made Chat an outfit so he could be comfortable and so he could hide his identity. There's something called a kwami, it's like an animal, and it uses its energy when he transforms." Her parents nodded, Marinette sat down next to them while they waited for Chat to come back downstairs. Soon enough, he did and sat down next to Marinette. Tom then turned on the news and set the remote down. "This afternoon one of our favorite superheroes, Chat Noir, was seen carrying a girl, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, bridal style to her school, kissing her hand and bowing before leaving. Someone took a video and was kind enough to share it with us today." Marinette and Chat Noir were silent as her parents paid close attention to the news. "Everyone is wondering what the relationship is between Chat Noir and Marinette. Are they a couple, friends, enemies even? We may never know. I'm Nadja Chamack and stay tuned for when we have more information about these two. Until next time." Tom turned off the TV and looked over at Marinette and Chat. While the people in question just kept staring off into the distance. "Umm, wow!, would you look at the time, I'm just going to go to sleep and never wake up, haha, goodnight!" Marinette took Chat's hand as she took him up to her room. "Marinette! If you want, you can stay home tomorrow!" Sabine yelled up to her. Tom and Sabine looked at each other, worried for both their daughter, and the person she loved. "UGH! WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO FILM THAT! AND THEN GIVE IT TO THE NEWS! ALL OF PARIS IS GOING TO KNOW NOW! MAYBE EVEN ALL OF FRANCE!" Marinette yelled, not at Chat, just to herself. Chat was really worried for Marinette, he felt really guilty, he did that because he thought it would be a good idea to embarrass Marinette, but it wasn't just that, it was on the news, that means Shadowmoth could see it, this was dangerous, he now knows that Marinette might be important to him, that gives him an advantage. "Marinette!" Chat grabbed hold onto her shoulders. "Stop overthinking, your parents said you could skip school tomorrow, and I think it might be a good idea." Marinette looked at him. "You're right, I need to calm down, nothing will come of me freaking out." Marinette sighed and grabbed Chat's hand. She knew they weren't lovers, but being close to him calmed her down and made her feel safe. Chat let go of her hand and hugged her, he started stroking her hair, she was always there for him, now he was going to be there for her. She felt like crying, and so she did, she cried in his arms. A pang of guilt shot through him, 'This is my fault, I shouldn't have done that, then this wouldn't have happened, Marinette would've been fine and Shadowmoth wouldn't have been able to use this to his advantage.' He thought. "I'm so sorry Marinette" He whispered, he hoped she wouldn't have heard it, but alas she did. "Why are you sorry?" She asked, looking up at him with tear stained cheeks. "This was my fault Marinette, if I did have to drop you off, I could've at least done it discreetly. You deserve an apology." Marinette shook her head. "You didn't do anything wrong! I know this isn't ideal, but this also isn't your fault!" She said, he shook his head. "I don't think so, but you need rest." She opened her mouth to speak, but Chat placed his finger on her mouth to stop her. "Please? It'll make you feel better, and if not for you, can you do it for me?" Marinette knew she couldn't say no to him, and he knew it too. She sighed, "Fine" He smiled, he called Plagg and transformed. "I'll go on the balcony and wait while you change into our pajamas, okay?" He asked her, she nodded. He then hopped out onto the balcony to wait for her. Before Marinette got changed her mother knocked on her trapdoor. "Come in." Both her mother and father emerged from downstairs. "Are you going to be okay?" Her father asked. Marinette nodded. "I will, I have Chat, Alya, Nino, and Adrien. I'm also sure my other friends will support me, but they're my main friends, I know they'll help." Her parents nodded at her. "I feel bad saying this, but we won't be home for at least a week." Sabine told her Marinette nodded, "Why won't you be home?" Her father continued for Sabine. "We've been asked to serve some of our pastries somewhere over on the other side of France." Marinette nodded. "And you guys are leaving tonight?" She asked them, they both nodded. Marinette hugged her parents. "I love you guys." They both gave her a soft look. "We love you too, goodnight." Tom said to her as they started downstairs. "Goodnight, maman, papa." Marinette said back. "Also, all windows and doors are locked and closed." Sabine added, Marinette laughed slightly. "Okay, thank you maman." They all smiled at each other, her parents closed the trapdoor and went downstairs. Marinette finally changed into her pajamas and went up to her balcony. Chat was looking up at the moon, when he heard the trap door open he turned behind him to see Marinette standing there. "Hi princess," he said to her, she started walking towards him. "You're going to have to leave soon." He nodded, "And you should be going to bed." She rolled her eyes. "I guess. Can I at least see you off?" He smiled at her, "You always do, you have my number, call me if you need anything okay princess?" She nodded. "You know I will kitty." She quickly hugged him, "I'll see you later kitty" He hugged back quickly. "I'll see you princess." He turned his back and extended his baton, but he hesitated for a moment. He put his baton back on his belt and turned back around to face Marinette again. She was very confused. "Just something before I leave." He said. "What do you mea-" She was cut off by Chat giving her a quick peck on the lips, he then re-extended his baton and jumped off into the night. Marinette stood there, baffled, she placed her fingers to her lips. She went inside to her room and locked the trapdoor above her. She sat down on her bed, her mind in another world. Tikki noticed this and decided to go around and turn off the lights, as well as make sure the windows in the room were locked. She then flew up to Marinette's face. "Mari, are you okay?" She slowly nodded, 'so she isn't totally gone' Tikki thought. "What happened?" She asked. "C-Chat, kissed me." Marinette responded, Tikki was ecstatic while Marinette kept staring off into space. "I love this Marinette, but I think Chat was right, you should really go to bed." Marinette was brought back, she then screamed, not very loud, she was just very happy. "Tikki, he kissed me! I mean, it was a quick peck on the lips, but still! That means he likes me right! He has to!" Marinette was almost jumping at this point, Tikki was flying all around her. "I'm so happy for you Marinette! But, really, you should go to sleep." Marinette nodded, "Yeah, you're right, thanks for reminding me." Marinette got under the covers of her bed, while Tikki flew to hers. "Goodnight Tikki," Marinette said. "Goodnight Mari," She responded.
