Chapter 24

Marinette woke up and her hair was a mess. She tried to sit up but was kept on her bed by an arm wrapped around her waist, she was facing the wall and it took her a moment to remember exactly what had happened the night before. She looked down and saw that she had no clothes on and was hurting in a few, areas. Her face went bright red as she realized what she and Chat had done.

She looked around her room to find her underwear or a separate blanket, but since she couldn't sit up, she had no luck. Chat sat up behind her and kissed her cheek. "Good morning purrincess." He said in a joking manner, he hadn't remembered either, but knew something was off.

He almost stood up, but looked down to find he was not in costume, or clothes. He blushed and quickly covered his face with his hands. "I am so, so sorry princess. Please don't turn around yet." He said in a muffled voice, and didn't see her nod. He hastily found his clothes and rushed to put them on, as well as find a mask.

"Umm, Chat, can you pass me, my clothes?" He heard her say from the loft above. He was able to find a few things, but not enough to completely cover her. "This was all I could find." He tossed it up to her and heard a quick thank you. She soon followed him down and they found it hard to look each other in the eyes.

"I'm uh, I'm sorry really Marinette." Chat said avoiding eye contact with her. "Well, umm. You don't have to apologize, I agreed to it, and," She began to say, but she found it hard to put into words what she was thinking. He finally looked at her once again. "Yes? If it's okay I would like to hear it," He smiled sweetly while looking at her. She looked him in the eyes and returned the smile.

"I was going to say, that I, umm, really enjoyed last night." Her face was red still, but she managed to say it. His face went even more red and his eyes widened, but he smiled nonetheless. He looked deeply in her eyes and made a decision.

"Marinette, after what happened last night," He started and they both laughed quietly. He took both of her hands in his and raised them. "I want to tell you my identity, I feel it would not only be fair to you, but easier for the both of us." Marinette's eyes widened, and her face turned serious. "Chat, are you sure about this? You don't have to." He smiled softly at her, "I want to. Ladybug never told me not to tell anyone else, especially after she told her friend. So I'm gonna do this." She smiled at him softly, she knew this could end up being bad, but she was ready for the risks. It might also be beneficial for her to know his identity.

She nodded at him, "Okay, if that's what you want." He smiled brightly and took off his mask, since he wasn't in costume. Marinette hadn't seen him in the dark last night so when the mask fell off, her jaw dropped. "A-Adrien!?" He smiled sheepishly at her and put his hand to his neck. "Hi, I guess?" She rushed over and closed the small distance between them with a kiss and a hug. "I'm so glad it's you." She said softly after breaking the kiss.

"What, why?" She smiled up at him. "For two major reasons. One, you're one of my closet friends as Adrien AND Chat." She said holding up two of her fingers, he tried hard to stifle a laugh, they were pretty close last night. She rolled her eyes because she knew exactly what he was trying to hide. "And two, because I fell in love with Adrien after you gave me your umbrella, then fell in love with Chat after we started hanging out more."

Her face went a light pink as she blushed. Now it was Adrien's turn to be flabbergasted. "Really!? Man, now I know why Nino was always calling me oblivious and making weird faces at me whenever you were around." Marinette started laughing, she calmed down quickly and went over to hug him, they shared a tender kiss. Until the moment was ruined by Alya breaking Marinette's trapdoor open.

"MARI!!!" She yelled as she climbed through and stood up, Adrien covered Marinette's chest with his body, trying to seem inconspicuous. "Adrien, what are you doing here!?" She asked, pointing at him for some odd reason. "I stayed over last night and literally just told Marinette I was Chat Noir." He said, still surprised by her unexpected entrance, giving an awkward thumbs up. "Also we're dating now," She spoke up from behind. Alya nodded, until she saw Marinette in her bra and a pair of shorts. "OH MY GOD, YOU TWO FUCKED!!" She started yelling louder.

"OKAY!! ALYA, CALM DOWN!!! Marinette shouted over Alya's fangirling. "Heh, sorry." She said with a sheepish smile. Mari sighed and looked over at Alya. "What was so important that you had to break into my house?" Alya smiled and looked for a shirt for Marinette to wear. "My mom said I could stay home to tell you the good news! Chloé was able to talk her father into telling the news station to taking down the video from last night!" Marinette and Adrien shared an excited look with each other. "I don't know how long it will last, or how many people will believe it, but this should pass after a little while!" She finally finished and threw a shirt a Marinette's face. Mari pulled her shirt on and they all went downstairs to finally eat some food.
