3rd person POV

Chat and Marinette talked and watched movies for basically the whole day and the night was fastly approaching, Nino had texted Adrien telling him that he had told Alya about everything, and he also would help him if he needed it, Adrien was thankful for Nino being his best friend. Alya had stopped by and dropped off Marinette's homework, as well as informed them both that Chloé would do all that she could, and they were both thankful that, one, Alya told Chloé, and two that she was actually going to help. Alya didn't stay for long and left as quickly as she came. Night rolled around quickly and Chat's heartbeat started to race, he promised himself he would tell her, 'I mean, I already kissed her last night, and she hasn't chased me off, so that means she liked it right?' He thought. Marinette went to the bathroom while Chat made sure that everything was locked. Once that was done he informed her that he was going to grab something and for her to meet him on the balcony. He transformed and went to go find a rose. He found a red one that had bloomed. He had been hyping himself up until he heard the trapdoor behind him open. He turned around to see Marinette standing there. "Hi princess." He smiled at her and handed her the rose, her face turned a pink. "T-Thank you, um, what's up?" She asked looking him in the eyes, he could hear his heartbeat in his ears, 'It's now or never' he thought, trying not to get lost in her eyes. "Sorry for taking forever princess, my heart is beating so loud I can barely get my words out." He laughed awkwardly. Marinette didn't know what was happening, but her heart was the same. Chat took a deep breath and decided to just get it over with, rip it off quick like a band aid. "I wanted to do something a bit different from this, something special, but with the news and everything, I couldn't." Marinette kept quiet and kept her eyes on him 'Is he going to confess? I wish I was wearing something different from this.' She thought. Chat sighed. "I just can't get the words out. I'm sorry." She grabbed his face and turned it towards her. "It's fine, I have a surprise myself, I forgot to set it up, can I now while you get the courage to say it?" He smiled at her and nodded. "Sure princess." She smiled at him and went to quickly change and set something up for him. She quickly changed into a pink dress with pink heels, both had black accents. She then grabbed some blankets and pillows to create a comfy little area for them. Then she grabbed some croissants and other pastries. She didn't want to keep him waiting long but at the same time she wanted to give him enough time to get his courage. She opened the trapdoor and set everything up, it was similar to what she had done on one of their first movie nights. She made sure the food was set down in a safe place from bugs and being stepped on. She took Chat's hands and sat down with him on the blankets. He seemed more calm now, he felt more ready to tell her now. "Thanks Marinette" she smiled at him, "Of course, you definitely needed it." They both chuckled. "You look beautiful princess, if the dress was longer you could probably be mistaken for a real one." She bumped his shoulder with her own, not a shove, a playful bump. "Marinette, I have something really important to tell you, and I don't know how you'll react, but I just have to tell you." She nodded at him, signaling for him to continue, he took a deep breath and looked into her eyes. "Marinette, I-I love you, I truly do, I know things are very hectic right now, and cliché as it may be, I know I'll get through it with you by my side." Marinette blushed, she was speechless. She was so happy she jumped over to him in a hug, the force knocked both of them over and they were both on the floor. Marinette hugged him tightly. He sat back up and she pulled her face back to kiss him. She gently took his head in her hands and kissed him. "I love you too" she said when she broke the kiss. He smiled brightly and hugged her. They pulled away from each other a little to stare at each other, and they both started laughing. "I'm so relieved," Chat said looking at her. "So am I, I mean after last night I thought about the possibility of you liking me, but I couldn't be totally sure." They laughed a little bit then decided to snuggle up and look at the stars while eating the pastries. After they had finished eating, Chat helped Marinette clean up everything and they put everything away downstairs. Marinette put up her changing board and went to go change behind it, but she ran into a problem. She had Tikki help her zip the dress when she got into it, but Tikki was hiding, and probably asleep right now. She was embarrassed to ask, but she had to, unless she wanted to sleep in a dress all night, and it wasn't exactly a very comfortable material. "Hey Chat!" She called out. "Yes princess?" He poked his head out from the loft area. "C-Can you come down here and help me, um, u-unzip my dress?" They both blushed a light red, but Chat hopped down anyway, even if he was embarrassed, he still wanted to help his princess. Marinette had let her hair down and moved it out of the way so he could unzip it. He went behind the board and helped her unzip her dress. ✨💃🕺✨ Then they went to bed.
