"AGAIN."
Rhea let out a growl, her body beaded in sweat as she sprawled on the training mat. She was breathing heavily, sparks of gold flickering from her hands.
"Can we do this later?" Rhea huffed, blowing her hair out of her face. "I want to eat ice cream and gossip with Silena."
"Chiron assigned me to train you, Jackson."
"Well not everyone is as dedicated as you, Nakamura." Rhea huffed, dragging her body off the mat as she forced herself to stand.
The son of Nemesis rolled his eye in annoyance, his sword still held tightly in his hands. "One more hour, then you can go."
"How 'bout we go all out and see who wins? If I disarm you, I get a break." Rhea challenged.
Ethan sighed. "Fine, let's see what you've learned all year, Jackson."
Rhea smirked, her body sparking with a golden light before disappearing.
"Invisibility doesn't count, Jackson." Ethan complained, gripping his sword tightly, high alert.
"Says who?" Rhea crackled with laugher as she sent him tumbling to the floor. She shot sparks of gold light at him, but he rolled out of the way and it ended up hitting a dummy. Rhea flinched back when it's face caught on fire. "Um.... oops?"
"Are you trying to kill me, Jackson?" Ethan gaped, jaw dropping at the now disformed mummy. "When did I offend you?!"
"Minor miscalculation," Rhea said sheepishly.
Cause I see, sparks fly, whenever you smile. get me with those green eyes baby as the lights go down..
Loud music suddenly spewed out of nowhere, and the door swung open, revealing Silena with the radio and half of the Apollo cabin.
"Hell yeah!" Rhea giggled, becoming visible, making Ethan flinch back.
"Stop doing that!" He complained.
"Taylor Swift rocks!!" Rhea whooped, dancing to the beat of the music as she went to stand by Silena.
"Girl, you need a shower. You smell of sweat." Drew Tanaka yelled over the loud music.
"I know!" Rhea yelled back, laughing as the Apollo kids try to get Ethan to sing with them.
Yeah, lot's had happened over the year, and Rhea thought she would be pretty lonely without her brother and Annabeth and Grover by her side, but she's made many new friends and learned to master her powers (mostly).
Everything was great.
Until now.
"Stop! Stop the nonsense!" Clarisse burst into the room, looking completely winded and panicked, which was very unlike her.
The music died down and everyone froze.
"What is it?" Rhea asked.
"The camp boarders!" she gasped out.
"What about the camp boarders?" Ethan asked.
"They're falling!" Clarisse said. "Thalia's tree is dying!"
Everyone went into a panic.

Really really short chapter today lol bc I didn't really have a lot to add, but I really wanted to add a scene of Rhea practicing her powers and getting along with everyone before the actual setting of the SOM.
I'm guessing you know what next chapter will be!!
