Many people out there might think, 'Oh Daisy must have been such a cute and well behaved child!' well she wasn't! She was torture! I still loved her though. You gotta love the child that popped out of ya, right?
When Samuel was 11 and Daisy was 7, both me and Thorn figured they could stay home alone, Samuel was in charge and Daisy could just sit there and do nothing the whole time. We thought Samuel was responsible enough, and he didn't have a phone yet, so we just left him alone!
Bad. Choice.
We got back from our date at 7:45 to find the house was set ablaze! Both Samuel and Daisy were in the backyard, jumping on the trampoline when we finally found them and we never trusted them again.
Daisy had this obsession with fire. When she was younger, she saw fire a few times from car rides around farms, but other than that, she never saw fire! She was obsessed with the color red and INSISTED on having a red blanket before sleeping, and I knew it was bad for her sleeping schedule but I let it happen.
Not only that, but her temper was hotter than a bull! She used to run around the house punching random pillows and the seats of the bar stools in the kitchen. It was one of the many reasons we never left any sharp objects around, we had to cover all the sharp corner of walls with barriers since she would bang her head on them so often!
We insisted on her not having any chemical related classes in high school, but they didn't listen and shoved her in a classroom anyway. She ended up with a lot of cuts after school because of it and we all thought she was some sort of gang member in high school, and after we had to pay a 5,000 dollar fine for her blowing up part of the school, they finally understood our situation.
She never talked about her feelings and why she was so angry, and every time we asked if she was okay, she would give us a fierce look and push us away! She was a dragon, like her father, which is why after we had our other house burn down, we chose a house made for dragons, so it wouldn't burn down so easily. Samuel was a werewolf, but never really used his powers unless it was an important baseball game and he really wanted to win.
Daisy was never open about how she felt about school and how many friends she had, until she came back from her 'prison of hell' with a smile on her face. She was smiling from ear to ear, her face was brighter than my mood on a Friday!
"Why are you so happy today?" It was a Monday afternoon and shes always grumpy on Mondays, I mean who isn't? "I found a cute boy, and he asked me out!" She was in her bed, squealing into her pillow like a tiny toddler. "Alright, i'm excited for you and all, but where will this date be, and when will you be back?" I was a worried mother, but I was still gonna let her go.
"He invited me to his house for a sleepover, if that's okay with you?" I gave out a sigh before answering her request. "Fine, have your phone on you at all times, and, Daisy, if he hurts you, I swear to god I will kill that b-" I remember her quickly covering my mouth, moving her finger back and forth. "Ma, i'm fine. If he hurts me, i'll burn his house down."
And just like that she wen't off to a date with this boy, and in the end, she didn't end up burning his house down, but they broke up after a few months of dating since he had to move and wasn't ready for far distance dating.
Daisy hasn't been ready for marriage yet, and shes currently dating a guy named, Jacob. They've been getting together well, and i'm happy for her. Samuel says he will always beat the crap out of people who reject her, and he's only done it once.
And he lost that fight.
