Dave, Ferrod's best friend, tried to counsel him against seeking vengeance, recognizing the destructive path Ferrod was contemplating.

Dave: Ferrod, I know you're hurting, man. But seeking revenge on Sarah won't bring your mom back.

Ferrod: (frustrated, signing angrily) Her Mom is the reason my mom is gone, Dave. She has to pay for her mother's wrongdoings.

Dave: (signing with empathy) I get it, Ferrod. Losing your mom was devastating. But causing harm won't fix anything. It'll just make everything worse.

Ferrod: (shaking his head) No, she needs to understand the pain her mother caused.

Dave: (trying to reason) Ferrod, what happened between your mom, your father, and Sarah's mother was tragic, but it's not Sarah's fault. Holding onto this hatred won't bring justice or closure.

Ferrod: (adamant) I want her to feel my pains of losing a mother.

Dave: (calmly) But taking revenge won't solve anything. It'll only create more pain.

Ferrod: (determined) I can't just let it go, Dave. I need her to feel the pain we felt.

Dave: (pleading) Ferrod, I know you're hurting, but vengeance won't heal you. It'll poison your soul. Let's find another way to cope, together.

Ferrod: (resolute) I've made up my mind, Dave. I can't just stand by.

Dave: (sadly) Ferrod, don't let hatred consume you. Think about what your mom would want. She wouldn't want you to destroy yourself in the process.

Dave, concerned about Ferrod's vengeful intentions, tried to remind him of the innocence of Sarah and the complexity of their relationship.

Dave: Ferrod, I get that you're hurting, but you need to remember, Sarah is your wife. She's innocent in all of this.

Ferrod: (angry, signing) Innocent? Dave, she's connected to the pain, to the tragedy. She has to pay for it.

Dave: (calmly) Ferrod, Sarah is not responsible for what happened between your mom and hers. Blaming her won't bring any peace.

Ferrod: (frustrated) She knew about it, Dave! She knew, and she didn't stop it. She let my mom suffer.

Dave: (patiently)Are you sure she knew?  Ferrod, it's a painful history, I understand. But blaming Sarah won't make it right. She's your wife; she loves you. Let's find a way to heal without hurting her.

Ferrod: (defiant) I can't just let it go, Dave. It's too much.

Dave: (empathetic) I know it's a heavy burden, but punishing Sarah won't lift it. It might destroy the one good thing you have left.

Ferrod: (conflicted) What do I do, Dave? The pain is unbearable.

Dave: (softly) Talk to her, Ferrod. Share your pain. Let her be there for you. She might not have all the answers, but she can help you carry the weight.

Ferrod paused, conflicted between his desire for vengeance and the understanding that Sarah was his wife, innocent in the events that had unfolded.

Dave: (encouraging) Ferrod, don't let this anger destroy what you have with Sarah. Seek healing together; it's the only way to find peace.

Ferrod, deep in thought, contemplated the words of his best friend, torn between the darkness of revenge and the possibility of finding solace with Sarah.

Ferrod, consumed by anger and the desire for retribution, turned away from Dave, determined to carry out his plan of punishing Sarah. Dave left with a heavy heart, and could only hope that Ferrod would eventually see the futility of his chosen path before it caused irreparable damage to both of their lives.
