dahlia yawned as she woke up to hear knocking on her door. she rolled over, lifting up her phone to see the time.
"ah shit." she cursed, seeing it was almost one o clock already. she rolled back over, accidentally hitting lando in the face with her hand. the boy groaned as he woke up, clearly believing it was far too early for them to be up aswell.
"sorry." she said, a light laugh escaping her mouth. "it almost one o clock."
"huh?" lando mumbled in disbelief, rubbing his eyes.
"yeah, and i have a flight at four."
"ah shit." lando sighed, his voice scratchy from only waking up. the girl laughed at the similar reactions. he smiled as he looked to her, thinking about how lucky he was that she got to be the last thing and the first thing he saw everyday.
"dahlia, you up?" it was her brothers voice at the door. the two who were still wrapped in duvet, froze, going silent as they turned to look at eachother, their eyes full of alarm.
"that's george..." lando said, his voice audibly shaking with fear from the realisation.
"i thought i was just the cleaners or something." dahlia whispered, her face now full of concern.
the two jumped up, dahlia pulling the orange hoodie over her head to cover her in nothing but her underwear as lando scrambled to pick up all his clothes for the floor.
"come on!" dahlia hissed at him, waving him to run over to her.
"dahlia? who's in there?" george yelled, in knocking getting louder and more frequent.
"oh shit." lando panicked as he ran to the other end of the bed, kissing the girl on the forehead. "well, i'm dead. this was fun, tell my family i love them-"
"shut up." dahlia laughed, grabbing his hand and pulling him back. she slid open the wardrobe next to her.
"you can't be serious?" lando raised his eyebrows at her.
"is that jude?" george shouted in. "dahlia, i'm coming in."
"jude?" lando looked to the girl.
"oh, i am serious." dahlia said before pushing the boy in.
"ow!" he hissed as he banged into the back of the wardrobe. "dahlia, this isn't gonna-"
"just be quiet!" she said before sliding the door shut.
