Soar

As the sun rises up to light up the darkened sky,

The light tries to get on by.

A mixture, dark and light, just like you.

Whether you're nice or not is what I wish I knew.

With you it feels like I'm in an endless maze.

My thoughts clouded, stuck in a haze.

We whisper secrets, words we must keep,

Yet you always seem to just let them seep.

Lies or the truth, with you I can't tell,

Off the edge, screaming as you push me off the rail.

One centimeter or millions of miles,

I have to go through all the trials.

The test to cross the distance to the ship,

When all you're doing is making me slip.

Who you really are, I want to know,

But that isn't something you'd like to show.

There will be a point when I've had enough and more,

But until that day shall come, I will continue to soar.

"There were thing you wanted to tell me, and there were things I was dying to say, but you were scared and my voice faltered so we both sewed our lips shut and buried it away."
