Y-n pov"How did your tutoring lesson go?"
"Was your tutor a weird pervy nerd?" Margo laughs at Evies vulgar question. I roll my eyes back as the girls share a look. Placing my sandwich down I look Evie dead in the eye, "No he was not a weird pervy nerd. He was actually pretty... nice." I defensively state.
"Oh? A nice boy?" Evies tone is sensual. She bites one of her French fries seductively, "My favorite kind." she smirks.
"Evs, what would your boyfriend say if he heard you talking like this?" Margo fills with concern. Evie brushes off the concern and loudly scoffs, "Please, he wouldn't give a single fuck." Margo and I both worry as we hear our best friends venomous remark, "Meaning?" Margo further questions, "Meaning, it seems Mason has lost feelings for me."
"What? No way!" Margo is completely baffled. And so was I, I must admit.
"Yes! Things have just been off since last summer."
Last summer?
My breathing becomes heavy at the mention of last summer. I discretely look down at my shaky hands. A rush of nerves rushes through me.
"That little prick. Do you think he's hooking up with someone??" Margo angrily questions.
"It wouldn't be the first time. I bet it's that bitch Lindsey again."
"Oh honey." Evie lays her head onto Margo's shoulder. Margo gently rubs circles around Evs back in a comforting manner.
"What do you think, Y-n?" Evies big brown sadden eyes stare at me. I panic not being able to speak. I shrug at her question, "I'm not sure. Maybe just try talking to him." Words finally leave my mouth, "He really does love you." I add on. A small smile decorates her lips.
"Speaking of the devil." We all turn our attention behind us. The man of the hour, Mason Percy. His dragon eyes meet mine. He smirked as he watched me stare at him. I hated how much confidence radiated off of him. His strut, he knew he was desired and envied by many. His cocky aura made me sick to my stomach. I avoid his gaze focusing on the boy beside him, Farleigh.
"What are my favorite bitches doing?"
"Missing our favorite boy of course." Farleigh smirks, loving my comment. He winks at me taking a seat beside Margo. Mason sits between Evie and I. My body tenses, feeling his knee graze against mine, "Have you missed me as well?" I avoid Masons eyes looking down at my phone. I check for any messages from Felix. There was none.
"No one ever misses you, Mason." I finally reply. He laughs in an amusing manner.
"That's not true." Mason turns the other way, his eyes now focusing on Evie, "My girl missed me." Mason attempts to caress his girlfriends cheek. Evie dodges his affection. She dramatically slams her palms against the table as she stands up. We all watch quietly as she storms off. Mason let's out a frustrating sigh, annoyed by his girlfriends behavior, "You better go get your girl, Mase." Farleigh smirks, lighting up his cigar.
Mason reaches for Farleighs cigar. He presses it against his pink lips inhaling some smoke. He exhales giving it back to Farleigh. Mason quickly rushes off to find Evie.
"And then there were three." Farleigh takes his second puff.
"Have you seen Felix?" Farleigh shakes his head to the side, "Not since this morning."
"Are you going to eat that?" Farleigh stares at Margo's half eaten sandwich, "Are you begging for food now, Farleigh? My my."
I disregard Margo's and Farleigh's bickering as I hear the sound of gravel crunching beside me. I turn to the side. I smile as I find Felix's eyes. He smiles back. He looked adorably cute riding his blue bicycle. I stand up, meeting him halfway. He stops peddling as soon as he's close enough to me. He lets the bike drop as he gets off to warp his arms around me. He tightly holds onto me, lifting me off the ground. I feel at ease, engulfing his sweet yet musky scent.
