TWO MONTHS LATER
AFTER SALTBURN
Y-n Pov
He remained in the same spot.
He held the same position.
The same pale expression.
He hadn't moved since that night I watched his soul leave his body. The silver handcuffs held tightly onto Oliver's arms as they imprisoned him in the hospital bed.
He had been in a comma for the last two months.
"I thought I'd find you here." I glance over my shoulder, catching a glimpse of the tall boy standing behind me.
"Felix—-"
"Why do you keep coming back here?" His worried eyes glanced to look at Oliver's unconscious body.
"I guess I'm scared... scared he'll wake up one random day and finish what he started." His hand gently caressed my arm as he tried to calm me.
Felix and I looked back as we heard an older woman sniffle from behind us. His jaw tensed as he made eye contact with the miserable woman. I assume it was Oliver's mother by the way he's reacting. Felix disregards her, focusing his attention back on me.
His eyes filled with hatred.
"We can only hope he never does." Felix grazed my shoulder as he walked past me. Oliver's mother sadden eyes stared deeply into me. The corner of her mouth trembled as she tried to keep herself from shedding another tear. I turn away from Mrs Quick and follow the same path Felix took out of the hospital.
I'm greeted by the cool September breeze as I take a step outside.
I watched as Felix desperately lit up the cigar between his lips, "You know that those will only be fatal to you, right?" Felix scoffs at my remark.
A lot had changed since the Saltburn incident.
A slight rift had formed between Felix and me.
Of course things wouldn't be the same after all of those horrid events...
[Two months ago]
"Felix please can't we talk about??" I desperately reached for his stern shoulders as I stood beside him, begging him to look at me.
He didn't budge. Not a single glance did he give me.
"It was a mistake Felix. I love you—-"
"You're not the person I expected you to be."
Tears streamed down my face as I watched the doors from Saltburn close in front of me.
Who was I supposed to be?
[End of flashback]
"Did you ever get in contact with the lawyer I told you about?"
But maybe he still cared about me.
Felix's brown eyes focused on me, "I did." He pulled a slight smile from his lips, "And what did he say?"
