Y-n Pov

A few days later.

I scoff as I watch a perfectly fine Evie skip down the courtyard.

Evie had been completely fine. All daddy had to do was write a big fat check. A mere slap to the wrist was all she got.

Despite being caught trying to set me up, Evie still managed to win. I'm not even surprised. Money can buy you whatever you want.

I hold onto my pencil tightly as I watch Evie run her hands through Felix's hair. She gives him a smile before kissing him on the lips.

Farleigh fake barfs beside them.

Then there was Margo. Who quietly sat on a navy bench. Her sad brown eyes find mine across the courtyard. I immediately look away focusing on my textbook.

I hear the crunching gravel.

"Hi."

I snarl with distaste, "Hi? Seriously?" Margo becomes discouraged by my harsh tone.

"You haven't been answering my calls."

"Why should I, Margo?"

"I wanted to apologize. I'm sorry for not trusting in you. I've been a terrible friend to you, Y-n."

A cold, hollow laugh leaves my mouth, "You're not my friend Margo. None of you are."

As the anxious girl in front of me invites herself to sit down, I begin to gather my things.

"Wait, Y-n. Let me make it up to you. Please."

"Forget it Margo. Just leave me alone."

Evie's gaze remains fixed on me while she watches me walk past them. A smirk pulls on her lips as she clings onto Felix. I disregard them walking back into the crowded university.

Upon opening the door of my dorm, I gasp.

My desk chair makes a squeaking noise as Oliver turns to face me.

"Hey." He speaks casually. I gulp nervously closing the door behind me.

"What's up." I try my best to sound as normal as I can.

But I had been scared ever since Oliver nearly suffocated me. I guess I had forgotten how dark he could get. I mean, for goodness' sake, he literally murdered Mason.

"I have a present for you." He grinned mischievously.

The sight of a big box on my bed brings a smile to my face. I walk towards it. The feeling of him standing behind me causes my breath to shake. He carefully examines my hands as they open the box.

My eyes widen as I scan the inside of the velvet box.

Inside it was the most stunning black mesh dress. I could see a vibrant red peaking through the mesh. With it came a black mask.

"It's for tomorrow's party." Oliver's minty breath hits the side of my neck.

"It's beautiful. Thank you." I turn around to peck him on the lips.

"What will you be wearing?" Oliver smirks at my question. I laugh as he puts little red horns over his head.

"Whatever matches these."

My hands cup his face, "You'll look handsome in anything, I'm sure." Oliver smiles widely at my compliment. He lowers himself down to kiss me. I freeze at first. But then kiss him back.

The kiss quickly gets aggressive as my back lays flat against the mattress.

I sternly place my hands against his chest stopping things from going any further.
