Y-n Pov

His hand trembled as he focused on the bright red ink splotched across the white paper he held.

"Felix..." his terrorized eyes find mine.

"Look me straight in my eyes and tell me this isn't Oliver's doing." He states with a sense of harshness.

"I-I..." A knot forms in my throat as I try to speak.

"It's not." The words finally leave my mouth, "It can't be..."

"Really?? You're sure about that? 100% sure?" He raises his voice. His gaze hardens while he crumbles the paper in his fist.

"I don't know!! What do you want me to say??!"

Felix's hands wrap around my wrist as he pulls me towards his chest, "Please Y-n. He's been playing you since Saltburn." his tone is cold and harsh.

"Felix stop it. You're not thinking reasonably."

His grip around me loosens as he takes a step back.

"Who else would be praying for my downfall, Y-n?"

"Not so long ago I was..."

He awkwardly clears his throat while looking off to the side, avoiding eye contact.

"Give him the benefit of doubt."

"Do you have any idea of where he's at right now?"

I hadn't seen Oliver at the presentation.

Did he even attend?

I direct my attention onto the crumbled note Felix had thrown on the floor, "You should take that to Detective Brookes." I speak in a calming manner, not wanting to alarm Felix any further.

"I was going to."

"You should go now." I sound almost demanding

"You don't think she'll have her hands tied with what just happened?"

Farleigh.

"Shouldn't you be checking in on Farleigh?"

Felix blankly stares at me for a second. Then a light bulb goes off above his head.

"Yes. Of course, I should go.." his lingering gaze focuses on me as he holds onto the golden door knob, "Are you coming?" he nervously blurts.

My stomach is in knots.

"I need some time alone. I'll catch up with you later."

He nods, understanding my decision.

"Ok." A warm smile spreads across his face as he leaves the room.

I can't help but feel weary about the whole situation. I hadn't seen Oliver since the morning, not in the hallways, not in the auditorium. He was nowhere to be found.

The sinking feeling in my stomach becomes stronger as I began to make my way to Oliver's dorm.

My arms fill with goosebumps as my hand touches the cold doorknob. I turn it slowly, opening the door to Oliver's dorm. I proceed with caution while entering the room. My eyes scan the entire space, Oliver wasn't here. I knew I should just turn around and go, but, I didn't. Carefully, I enter the room. As fast as I can I start looking through all of his drawers.

What was I even looking for?

I stop as I spot a red pen. The color was similar to the one used to write the notes. I exhale calmly...
