Y-n pov

Fifth day at Saltburn

I focused my attention down onto my plate of food as I tried to drown out the sound of Margo and Evie's bickering. They argued about god knows what.

"I don't know Margo! He just said he missed me..." Evie's words suddenly pique my interest. I turn to look at the girls beside me.

"Evie he's a piece of shit." I assume they were talking about Mason, "I should at least talk to him."

Mason's threat still lingered over my head.

"You should talk to him," I say catching their attention. Margo looks at me with a disappointed expression. Evie tilts her head to the side, amused by my sudden liking for Mason. "You hate Mason." she lets out in a snarky tone.

I sigh quietly, "He loves you Evs—- he told me himself."

"Did he?" Evie's gaze softens.

I felt bad for her.

"One conversation with him won't hurt."

She's always been a gullible girl.

Her doe eyes focused accross the table as she deeply stared at Mason. She only looks at him for a split second before she gets distracted. Oliver entered the room catching everyones attention. He walked with such confidence today. A smirk lingered on his lips as he took the empty seat beside me.

"Morning Ollie." Evie spoke flirtatiously. Oliver didn't even glance at her. His baby blue eyes only stared at me. I looked off to the side catching Masons angered expression as he looked at Evie who was dumfounded by Oliver. "Felix!" my body tenses as I hear Elspeth call her sons name. Felix gave his mother a small smile. He squeezes Mason's shoulder as he takes a seat beside him. I wait for his loving brown eyes to look at me. But they never do. He laughed along with Mason as he placed a cigar between his lips. Felix could be so cold when mad.

I feel Oliver's hand against my bare thigh. I look down watching as he discreetly caresses my thigh underneath the table.

"Oliver sweetie!" Elspeth waves her hand at Oliver catching his attention, "How fun would it be if we threw a party for your birthday!"

"I think that's a splendid idea." Elsbeth smiles at her husband as he encourages the idea of a party.

Farleigh scoffs earning a look from Oliver. The air fills with tension as they look at each other from accross the table, "I think Oliver looks like he'd rather throw himself out a window."

"Hoping he does." Mason whispers under his breath. Both boys smirk at each other as Sir James smacks them with his newpaper. I feel Oliver's grip tighten around my thigh, "What kind of party?" he questions looking over at Elspeth.

"That is completley up to you darling." Elspeth reaches for Olivers hand, she gives him a gentle squeeze, "I was thinking about a hundred people." his eyes widen,

"A hundred?!"

"Or two, it always ends up being over two hundred." Oliver nervously chuckles, "You can invite whoever you want. All of your friends are welcome to come." Farleigh laughs at Elspeths comment, "What friends?" Mason smirks, amused by Farleighs cruel words towards Oliver.
