Anxiety is Nick's worst enemy

chapter 5

~ Nick's POV ~

Charlie signs me and him out for the rest of the day and we go to my house. Charlie walks me home and when we arrive home he hugs me tightly. I hug him back "i love you so much Char"
"i love you too, are you going to be okay while i'm home?" he asks me, slight worry appearing on his face.

"yeah i think so" i reply. "please call me if you need anything okay?" "okay i will" I kiss him goodbye and Charlie goes home. I immediately don't feel safe anymore. I feel empty and anxious and all my worrying thoughts come rushing back to me. When i decide to go bed, i fall asleep crying.

~ No one's POV ~

It's 3:51am and Nick is tossing and turning in his sleep and all of the sudden wakes up screaming and hyperventilating. Sarah jolts awake and runs to Nick's room

~ Nick's POV ~

I woke up sweating, screaming, crying and hyperventilating. I don't know what happened in my sleep but i'm in full blown panic modes all of the sudden. My mom storms in the room "baby what's wrong?!"

"i-i-i-" i try to speak, but i can't. "breath baby, it's okay" my mom says. "i-i- c-c-ca-n't b-brea-th" My mom wraps her arms around me and rocks me back and forth while hugging me and not letting go. "breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, you're going to be okay Nicky"

I break down even more trying to talk "i h-hate t-th-is m-mum, i w-want it t-to s-st-op" "i know baby, i know" my mom kisses my forehead and still rocks me back and forth.

~ Sarah's POV ~

It hurts me so much seeing my baby hurt so much, he's not doing okay at all and i wish i could do more for him.

I'm rocking him back and forth calming him down and Nick slowly falls back asleep in my arms. I put him back to bed, give him another kiss and leave his room. I'm worried about him.

I know Charlie really helps him so i decide to text him:

'Charlie'
4:16am: Hi honey, Nick is not going to school tomorrow, he's not doing so good. Maybe you should come around after school tomorrow, i think he really needs you

~ Charlie's POV ~

I wake up with a text from Sarah. That's pretty weird because she never texts me. I go to open it and see that she sent it in the middle of the night, that worries me, i fear something has happened to Nick.

'Sarah'
4:16am: Hi honey, Nick is not going to school tomorrow, he's not doing so good. Maybe you should come around after school tomorrow, i think he really needs you

7:08am: Hi Sarah, oh no is Nick okay? i'll text him later and see if he wants me to come around! thank you for telling me

I'm so worried, i decide to text Nick, hoping he'll answer.

'Nick❤'

7:11am: hi baby, i heard you're not doing so good. Are you okay? Do you need to talk? And do you want me to come around after school later and cuddle? I love you❤

I suppose Nick is still sleeping so i get up and get ready for school. The schoolday goes by really slow, without Nick school is even more horrible than it already is. When it's finally lunch time i decide to text Nick again because he still hasn't respond.

'Nick❤'

7:11am: hi baby, i heard you're not doing so good. Are you okay? Do you need to talk? And do you want me to come around after school later and cuddle? I love you❤
