You decided that Luke should get the upper half of the bed while you slept at the lower half. Beel's bed was quite huge afterall.

Was it uncomfortable? A little.

But you thought it was simply the right choice, as a mature individual of course.

You woke up in the middle of the night as a habit when Beel left the room for his nightly fridge raids. You took a glance at Luke but it turned out he too was having a difficult time falling asleep.

Luke was tossing and turning quite a bit.

Not surprising.
When you were a child you always had difficulties falling asleep on unfamiliar beds especially when you changed beds.

"Luke? Are you awake?"
You whispered.

He immediately sat up,
"Mc, you have no idea how much i wanted you to be awake too. Beel's bed is too hard! How did you manage to fall asleep on this?

You moved up to where he was,
"I'm not really good at this but do you want me to pat you to sleep? Would that help?"
You recalled your mother humming and patting you in a rhythmic motion until you fell asleep in your childhood days.

Luke looked hesitant at first but still agreed.
So you tucked him in and started patting his back in the same slow pace your mother would.

"What you said earlier about Simeon..."
You said.

Luke hummed, urging you to go on.

"Don't you think he was just doing what a proper angel would?"

"What do you mean?"

"He isn't being chummy with the demons i don't think, he is doing exactly what Lord Diavolo wants to achieve isn't he? He respects the other demons despite being an angel of high position. He doesn't see them as any less or more. He also steps out of his comfort zone to know more about them. I don't think you need to worry if he ever gets corrupted, he is doing precisely what an angel would, don't you think?"

Luke's child like eyes stared at you, the gold in his eyes glimmering under the moonlight. He thought hard.

"But... Simeon always tells me to go talk to the other demons while he hangs out with some other ones... do you think he just finds me really annoying?"

"I think he wants you to learn from him, he is encouraging you to do what he does so you can learn more about these demons you see. Like beforehand, you probably thought of Beel as a scary demon who eats anything and everything, because i'll be honest, it was my first thought too. But, the more i got to know him, the more i see a different side to him, he let you stay afterall didn't he?"
You asked to which Luke nodded slowly.

"I cannot say it is a 100% safe to approach every demon but at least just try to give them a chance."
You ended.

You thought Luke had fallen asleep since he had already closed his eyes and was silent for a while.

"Thanks for talking to me about this Mc,..."
Luke said, his sentence cut off as he slowly fell asleep.
You smiled softly falling into a deep slumber as well.
