Lucifer continued reprimanding the white haired demon in the background.
There was a loud 'smack'.

"Ow! Hey! It hurts, y'know?! "
Mammon yelled.

Satan shook his head,
"And none of it would happen if you hadn't insist on telling them your name. But being the total fool that you are, you just had to, didn't you?"

Mammon looked even more glum than ever, a frown knitted itself on his face.

"It's okay Mammon, it's not your fault,"
You said but your eyes never left the suspicious man.
There was definitely more to this.
It may not be entirely his fault at least.

Mammon broke into a pout dramatically and stuck to you,
"You're so nice, MC. It's like someone took my heart and shattered it... like it was being made of glass. But now, here you come to rescue it, being all nice, it really hits me in the feels, MC..."

"But those other two, they're EVIL! You're the only one who's kind to me..."

The 'other two' only exchanged glances before scowling back at him.

"In case you've forgotten, you're a demon, Mammon, which makes you evil as well."
Satan replied.

"Back to the problem on hand..."
You finally turned away from the man.

Lucifer frowned again,
"I don't believe this. As if we needed another problem to deal with..."

"Only one version of the events is ever true!"
Satan grinned, surprising you and the rest with his freaky enthusiasm for this.

"What are you even sayin?"
Mammon said with a surprising switch in tone.

The fourth born sighed at his brother's ignorance,
"It's a line from 'The Mid-Fall Murders,' a human world crime suspense series. That was the lead character inspector Adler's famous catchphrase.
'The prepertrators had best give themselves up now while they still have the chance.
Because i will find them.'
I never thought the day would come when i'd actually get to say this in real,"

Now that you heard him, Satan wasn't too different from Levi after all.

You all stared at him in a mix of confusion and shock for a whole minute before Lucifer started speaking again,
"I'm not sure i completely understand what this is about, but i can tell that you're motivated, and that's what's important."

The suspicious man suddenly interrupted,
"You three, this is no time to be messing around! If this man is the killer, we'll just hand him over to Scotland yard at the next sta-"

"I think you should all go wait outside the dining car for now. Goodbye."
Lucifer spoke sternly, immediately shutting them up like its a command.

"Right, good idea. We'll let you guys track down whoever did it."
The suspicious man suddenly had a change of mind.

And so did the rest of them.

"Right,"

"Yeah, good idea."

One by one, they walked out of the dining car into another separate one, even closing the partition behind them.

"Woah...what just happened?"
You asked, knowing damn well it had to be connected to the fact they were demons.
And you were right.

"It's one of our powers as demons. We're able to manipulate humans, sort of like a form of hypnosis."
Satan explained.

You shuddered, muttering a
"Scary..."
Under your breath.
