Chapter 3 - The Mission/ Vacation Time

The following day in Becca and Loki's apartment, Loki is making breakfast, and Becca is feeding the girls. Loki looks at Becca and asks, "Should I make some pancakes for Steve?"

"Yes, Buck said it would be good," Becca replies.

"Are they joining us before they leave?"

"No, they said they want to try to avoid the traffic as much as possible, so -" Suddenly, at that moment, they hear car doors close. "Oh, that must be them."

Once the doors open, Little Steve runs up to Becca and says, "Aunt Rebecca!"

"Hey, little man!" says Becca as she turns and hugs her nephew. "How are you?"

"Good." Bucky and Sofia come in. Bucky places his son's bag on the floor. Little Steve goes to Loki and hugs him. "Uncle Loki!"

Loki smiles and says, as he continues to cook, "Hey! I hope you're hungry."

"Hi, girls," says Bucky as he walks around to kiss his nieces on the head.

"Uncle Bucky!" Frigga and Sarah said together.

Sofia walks over to Becca and hugs her as Becca stands up. "Thank you so much for watching over him."

Becca replies, "Of course. We love having him over.

Sofia and Bucky go up to their son, hug and kiss him. Sofia kneels and says, "Now remember, mind your manners, do what they ask of you, and brush your teeth after breakfast and before bed."

"And at least eat five bites of vegetables before you are given dessert," Bucky added. "Got it?"

"Yes, Mama and Papa Wolf," said Little Steve.

"Good."

Sofia kisses her son once more and says, "Love you."

"Love you too, mommy." Bucky and Sofia stand up and head to the door. Becca and Loki stand behind little Steve and wave at Bucky and Sofia. "Bye. Bye."

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - TSVETNOY BOULEVARD

People are arriving at the party. Bucky, Sam, Yelena, and Sofia are meeting outside. Yelena asks, "What's the plan, Sam?"

"Sofia had been asked to attend this party since Mrs. Barnes over here is getting popular with her voice in Russia," Sam replied.

"I published one album after rescuing that record dealer was in trouble and after he heard me singing," Sofia commented. "I owe him a favor."

"Anyway, while Yelena goes for the dark market sales to scope out what is there, Buck and I will keep an eye out for Karl Kitzer. A former AIM member who was arrested and escaped two weeks ago." Bucky and Sofia look at each other. "So get in, find the deals, report back, then arrest the guy. Sound good?"

"Yeah," they all agreed.

"Good," said Sam. Yelena heads to the back door.

Before Sofia goes to the back door, Bucky grabs her, pulls her in, and says, "You be safe, and don't do anything stupid."

"Same to you, babe," Sofia whispered. She kisses him and then heads inside. Bucky grins as he is pleased by his wife's wittiness.

Sometime later, people are enjoying themselves. Drinking, dancing, talking, etc. Suddenly the music blasts "PITY PARTY" by Melanie. Bucky and Sam walk around, observing as the announcer announces, "Ladies and gentlemen, the Lotus would like to welcome to the stage, Sofia. With her new remix hit of "It's My Pity Party''!"

The audience applauds. Bucky and Sam wait as they see Sofia about to perform. The curtains open, and Sofia is in silhouette. The first half of the song is recorded by another performer, so she waits for her cue music to play. Sam asks, "Yelena, how's it going?"
