Chapter 12 - The Baby Shower

A few days later, Bucky is fixing the crib in the twin's room. Sofia enters and says, "It came."

"Yep," Bucky replied as he continued working on the crib. It arrived this morning. So I've been working on it for an hour now."

Sofia raises her eyebrow and walks over to him. "You know there is a thing called instructions."

"I know but I built one before so it shouldn't be this hard."

"Need help?"

"No, I got it."

"You sure?"

"Yes. I don't want you to get hurt or anything."

"Okay, well don't forget about the gender reveal party in two hours."

"Oh yeah, you're right." Sofia chuckles and then leaves the room. Bucky looks down and sighs.

A few hours later, Becca is on her laptop. Loki comes in and heads to the closet. "Hey," he said.

"Hey," Becca replied.

"What are you up to?"

"Oh just checking emails."

"You ready for the party?"

"Yeah, I'm excited. I just can't wait for my nieces or nephews to arrive."

Loki changes clothes. "I know. But you know what would be nice to have more of?"

Becca looks out from the closet and shows a specific expression on her face. "One day. Don't push it."

Loki comes out in his best and nods. "I know."

Suddenly their daughters come in. Frigga asks, "Mommy! Is it time for the party yet?"

"No honey, not yet," Becca replied as she moved her laptop and attended to her daughters. "But it will be." She looks up at her husband. "Loki, will you help the girls get ready?"

Loki smiles and replies, "Sure." He approaches his daughters and gently takes their hands. "Come on girls." Loki leaves with the girls and helps them get ready. Becca closes her laptop and heads to the closet to change.

Meanwhile, Sofia helps Little Steve get ready for the party. "There we go," she said. "You look very handsome, Little Wolf."

"Thank you, Mama Wolf," Little Steve politely replied.

"Of course sweetie. Now will you go see where your dad is and tell him that it is almost time to get ready." Suddenly, they hear the door open and Bucky walks in. "Oh never mind. There he is."

"Hey, wow, look at you Little Wolf," says Bucky. "You look very nice."

"Thank you, Papa Wolf," Little Steve replied in a hug.

Bucky kneels to his son. "Why don't you go downstairs and see if Aunt Natasha and Uncle Steve need any help okay?"

"Okay." Little Steve leaves. Bucky stands up, smiles, and walks to Sofia.

"So did you finish it?" Sofia asked with a smile.

"Yep," Bucky replied. "Everything is all set."

"Good." She kisses him. "I'm going to shower real quick."

"Okay, I'm going to change and then see if Natasha or Steve need any help."

"Okay." Bucky leans in and kisses her once more then he heads to the closet. Sofia smiles and then heads to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, in the living room, Clint is helping Natasha, Yelena, and Steve with the decorations. He notices his family coming in along with Kate Bishop. He approaches his family and says, "Hey guys! Glad you made it."
