Sofia is still knocked out as Banner and Tony finish examining her. They notice Bucky watching from outside the lab and approach Bucky. Nervous, Bucky asks, "How is she?"
"She'll be okay," replied Tony. "My guess after hearing the voicemail, it made her have a small panic attack."
Bucky keeps his eyes on Sofia. "And the babies?"
"They're okay," Dr. Banner replied.
Bucky is relieved, shuts his eyes, and sighs. "Oh, thank God."
"It could have been a lot worse. Bucky, I would want to let them know what happened and about the situation."
"Yeah, um, I'll give them a call. Can I see her?"
"Yes, you can," Tony answers. "She should be waking up soon."
"Okay, thank you," Bucky replied.
"You're welcome," Banner answers. He and Tony then leave to give Bucky and Sofia space.
Bucky enters, pulls out his phone, and calls the ob-gyn. He heads to Sofia as he hears a voice answering. He asks, "Hi, is Dr. Gonzalez there?" He looks away from Sofia briefly. "Okay, um, My name is James Barnes, and I was wondering if you could please leave her a message for me? Ask if she can make a house call to the Avengers Compound." As Bucky is on the phone, Sofia starts to wake up. "Yes, could she meet this afternoon? Around four maybe?" He turns to notice Sofia waking up. "Okay, great, thank you." He hangs up and sits next to Sofia. "Hey. You okay?"
Sofia groans, "I think so. What happened?"
"You had a panic attack after listening to the voicemail."
Sofia nods and then panics. "The pups -"
Bucky gently sits next to her. "Banner and Stark examined you and said they're going to be okay." Sofia lies back, relieved. "I called the Doctor's office, and they said she would be coming to make a house call later this afternoon."
Sofia nods her head. "Okay.
They glance away from each other. Bucky then gently takes his hand to hold hers. Bucky sighs, "You can't stress yourself like that. You know that stress is not good for you or the babies."
Sofia replied defensively, "I know! I know. I just...when I...when I heard that voice. I was afraid. I don't want anything to happen to you, us, our son, our babies; I..." Sofia gets emotional.
Bucky scoots closer to her to comfort her. "I know. I am too."
She looks at him with sad eyes. "What happens now?"
"Well, the team is going to take over the case, and I'm not going on any missions until we find out who the Power Broker is."
Sofia looks at Bucky, speechless. "But...what if they need you? What if the world -"
"I don't care. You are more important to me." Bucky gently places his hand on her belly. "Our family is important." Sofia sheds a tear. "I don't wanna lose you again. Please. I love you too much." Sofia starts crying. Bucky pulls Sofia in a hug. "It's okay. Come here." He kisses her head. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I promise." She weeps as Bucky embraces her.
A few hours later, in their new room, Sofia falls fast asleep. Bucky watches from the doorway. He turns as the Doctor approaches him and says, "Thank you for coming; it really means a lot to us."
"No problem," said the Doctor. "I'm just glad the babies are healthy."
Nervous but determined and concerned, Bucky pulls the Doctor over. "Doc, I gotta ask, and maybe we should have asked this yesterday on our visit, but, um, with twins...what are the risks?"
