Chapter 4 - Sofia's Surprise

A few days later, Bucky and Sofia continue their anniversary trip by doing things together that they usually wouldn't do after they had Steven. This trip is all allowing them to focus on themselves. One day, Bucky went on his morning jog. While Sofia....sits on the toilet floor, puking out her breakfast. When she finishes, she flushes the toilet and goes to her bag. She feels something is off, and a thought pops into her head.

"Doll!"

An hour later, Bucky comes back from his run. He heads to the bedroom. "I'm back. Doll, are you asleep?" However, he finds the bed is empty, and half made. Confused, he looks in the bathroom and doesn't see her there either. "Sofia?!" He leaves the bedroom and enters the kitchen, even more confused. "Sofia, where -" He finds a note left for him. He picks it up and reads it.

"Hey babe, I forgot to pack some of my feminine products, so I am out to get them. I should be back sometime this afternoon to continue celebrating our anniversary. I have my phone with me if you need me to get something.

Doll"

Bucky smiles as he puts the note down. "What are you planning, Doll?"

Sometime later, at the drugstore, Sofia grabs several things and then a box. She then heads to the counter to pay for it all. She pulls out her wallet and pays for it. She whispers to the pharmacist, "Excuse me, but where's your bathroom?"

Thirty minutes later, in the bathroom, Sofia is waiting for the results when she suddenly gets a Bucky message. She reads the message briefly until she hears a beeping sound. Sofia puts her phone down to look at the test, her eyes in shock.

Forty-five minutes later, Sofia stops, gets out of the car, grabs the gift, and heads inside. Sofia closes the door, puts the keys on the counter, and heads to the kitchen. She shouts, "Babe, I'm back." She puts the gift on the counter and turns to the fridge to grab some water.

Bucky enters with a smile with a present in his hand and says, "Hey."

Sofia turns and says, "Hey."

"Did you get everything you needed?"

"Yep."

"Good." He kisses her passionately.

After the kiss, Sofia glances at the gift in his hand. "Is that for me?"

"Yes, it is."

"Awe, how sweet."

Bucky hands it to her. "Happy Anniversary."

"Happy Anniversary, says Sofia. They kiss once more. Then Sofia opens the gift, revealing it to be a beautiful bracelet. "Oh wow. It's beautiful. Thank you."

"Of course." They smile at each other. Sofia then put the gift down and grabbed her present for him. Bucky is shocked at how big the present is.

"Now, I would have gone for something a little smaller. But uh....this comes in a package deal—sort of."

Bucky raises his eyebrow and smiles. "Wow. Why?"

"Open it and see."

"Okay," he replied. As Bucky prepares to open it, Sofia pulls out her phone and records him opening it. She places it on her bottle. Bucky notices the camera and stops. "Are you recording this?"

"Maybe," she replied.

Bucky smiles at her and gives her a look. "All right, you're acting a little weird. What's going on?"

"Just open it."

"Okay. Okay." The first gift Bucky pulls out is a stuffed wolf animal. "A stuffed animal?"
