Chapter 15 - Found them

An hour later, Kate, Clint, Steve, and Natasha arrive back at the compound. They find Bucky, Loki, Yelena, and Sam talking to the rest of the team. "Well?" Steve asks.

"We brought back Walker," Sam replies.

"Is he talking?" asks Steve.

"No," Yelena replied. "But I have an idea on getting him to talk."

"I'm afraid to ask what it is," says Natasha with a look in her eyes.

Steve realizes what Yelena means and says, "No. You know that we can't do that."

"Why?" Bucky questioned him as he took a step toward Steve. "He took them! I want to know why?!"

From the far side, Wanda steps in and suggests, "May I make a suggestion."

A couple of minutes later, Walker is pacing back and forth. He turns when the door opens and sees Steve, Bucky, Loki, and Wanda enter the room with seriousness and anger in their eyes.

"Look, I get that you want to have answers, but I can't tell you," Walker implied

Without looking, Bucky leans over and says, "Wanda."

Wanda uses her powers to torture him mentally. He screams and falls to his knees as he is in pain. Seeing him in pain pleases Bucky but doesn't for Steve. So he looks at Wanda and says, "Okay, that's enough, Wanda."

She stops, and Walker leans over as he is relieved from pain. Staring down at Walker, Bucky questions him, "Why did Sharon ask you to take my sister and Sofia?"

"She offered a lot of money," Walker replied as he gasped for air.

"How much?" Bucky asks.

Walker doesn't say a word as he looks up at Bucky. Annoyed, Wanda uses her powers once more to torture him some more. Bucky stares as Walker continues to scream. "$50,000 each," Walker shouts. "- but I made her pay me in double after I found out that Sofia was pregnant."

Filled with rage, Bucky grabs onto Walker. Everyone but Loki is shocked. Steve puts his arms up and says, "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Bucky, come on!"

Bucky growls, "Taking my sister and my wife! My pregnant wife! Do you have any idea what you've done?!"

Walker replied quickly, "Believe me! I didn't want to do it, especially when I saw that she was pregnant, but as I said, Sharon offered me a lot of money!" Bucky continues to stare at him with a darker look in his eye. "I know I shouldn't have taken them, but since I have no benefits and I'm struggling with finances. I thought that this would help me a little."

"Even though Valentina is paying you to do whatever she needs you to," Wanda remarked. Walker rolls his eyes at her.

"Where did you take them?" Bucky asks him. However, Walker doesn't answer them. Annoyed and angry, Bucky punches Walker in the face. "I'm not gonna ask you again. Where did you take Becca and Sofia?!" Walker continues not to answer, so it pisses off Bucky even more. He punches Walker once more but harder and onto the ground. Bucky punches Walker over and over again. Everyone is concerned. "Where are they!!"

Steve leans over and grabs his hand. He shouts, "Bucky!" Bucky turns around and looks at Steve as he sheds a tear. "That's enough."

Bucky turns back, grabs Walker by his suit, and warns him, "If they die, I will come after you." They stare at each other. At that moment, Walker knows that Bucky will make him pay the price if anything happens to his sister and his wife. Bucky quickly gets up and storms out of the room. The others follow.

Bucky heads to the conference room when Steve shouts, "I understand you're upset with him for taking Becca and Sofia but threatening him will get you nowhere."
