Chapter 13 - Powerbroker Revealed

Two and a half months pass and no strange activities happen. The team searches for answers but ends up at dead ends, which drives them all mad. Bucky does everything he can for his family and Sofia but fears for his wife and unborn babies safety as days go by. But he knows that he has to be strong for them. For the sake of their unborn children.

One morning, Sofia is lying in bed reading a book. Bucky enters with a smile on his face. Sofia turns her head and smiles and says, "Hi babe."

"Hi," Bucky replied. He sits down next to her, kisses her, and gazes at her. "How are you?"

Sofia smiles and looks down at her swollen pregnant belly. "Fine, other than them kicking me every time I lie down to sleep."

"Awe." Bucky places a hand on her pregnant belly and kisses it. "Calm down in there. Don't hurt mama wolf." Sofia chuckles. He looks up at her and smiles. "Did that help?"

"Only for a bit but thank you for trying," Sofia replied. They both chuckle then they look back to her belly as they enjoy the moment. "You know there's something we haven't done yet."

Bucky asks with curiosity, "Oh yeah? What's that?"

"Name the twins."

"Oh yeah, you're right." Bucky sits up for a moment and stares at her. "So have you come up with any names?"

"I have a few ideas. Do you?"

"Yes, I do."

Sofia smiles with excitement. "Oh do tell." She looks at Bucky as he looks at her stomach.

He lightly rubs her stomach as he tells her his thoughts. "Well, for a boy, I was thinking Ryan or Christian."

Sofia thinks about it for a moment and smiles at Bucky. "Huh. I like Christian."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

Bucky smiles as he looks up at her. "I do too."

"What about a middle name?"

"I don't know. I want it to mean something. Plus, I was mainly focused on firsts."

"Oh well, may I make a suggestion?"

"You may." He stops and listens to his wife.

"How about...James?" Sofia asks.

Bucky looks at her with a tilted eyebrow and asks, "You wanna name him after me?"

"You are his father. And I think James fits nicely."

Bucky looks down for a moment then looks back at Sofia with a smile. "I got it. How about, James Alexander Barnes for our boy."

"James Alexander?" She pauses for a moment and smiles. "It's perfect." Sofia smiles and strokes his hair.

Bucky smiles and asks, "What about for our little wolfette? Are we going to name her after your mother?"

"No. Actually, I was thinking my mother's name would be a perfect middle name."

"Then what do you have in mind for her first?"

Sofia places one hand on her stomach and lightly rubs it. "I was thinking of Natalia."

Bucky smiles as he knows where Sofia is going with. "You wanna name her after Nat?"

"Why not? Natasha has been there for us since we got together and has always helped me whenever I need it. She's the godmother of our children."

Bucky smiles at her. "I love it." He leans down and kisses her stomach. "Natalia Eveline Barnes and James Alexander Barnes." Sofia chuckles as she feels the babies moving. Bucky's pupils go big as he feels them move too with his hand. "Awe. They approve."
