The weather is quite warm today. The sun is shining and the skies are blue as children run around the park, adults jog and couples are on little picnic dates. I take a drag of my cigarette as I keep my head on a swivel, looking for her. I know my chances of bumping into Elowyn are slim, she could have plans for today. But, here I am like the damn fool I am, hoping to see her.

Another week has passed and I've had nothing but radio silence from her. Going back and forth, pretending like we don't care about each other has led to this. Me walking around a park and trying to see her without making it seem like I was actually looking for her. Why is it so hard to just pick up the phone and call her? Why the fuck am I so afraid?

I know exactly what I'm afraid of.

I'm scared of rejection, heartbreak and the pain that comes with it. I don't want to admit that I'm scared, I don't want to admit that I'm not man enough to call her. It shouldn't be this hard to call someone. It's not like I'm asking her to marry me.

I look up from the ground and see her. I do a double take as I stop in my tracks. She's walking across the green and I stay still, waiting for her to notice me. When she eventually does, she does her own double take and smiles before stopping in front of me. The sun is bright and obviously hurts her eyes as she squints up at me.

"Harry.. hey."

She looks so pretty.

"Hi."

We smile at each other and my stomach flutters at the sight. I look down to notice she's carrying the book I signed for her two weeks ago.

"Are you just finishing up a walk?2 I ask.

"I am." She nods.

"And you did some reading?" I smirk, nodding my head towards the book in her hand.

"I did." She blushes, "There's a place I like to go to, its quiet and no one really goes there. It's a lovely place to get some reading done."

"In the park?" I raise a brow.

She nods and I chuckle at her shyness as she avoids eye contact.

"Well, you'll have to show me sometime, yeah?" I suggest.

"I'd like that."

A small smile graces my face as we stand in silence. I lean down and press a kiss to her cheek, trying my hardest not to kiss her on the lips. I want to ask her to show me tat quiet place now. I just want to spend time with her.

"Well, I better let you finish up your walk then. Be safe, Elowyn." I start to walk away but stop when she calls out my name.

"Harry."

"Yes?" I look over my shoulder at her.

"I... I could show you that place now if you'd like?" She suggests and I cant stop the smile forming on my face.
