Harvey and the rest of his squad exited their transport, rifles in hand. The villagers were instructed to wait inside the car until further notice.

As they exited the truck, they noticed the dragon on top of the m205 it attacked. It had been flipped on its side, and the beast seemed to be trying to pry it open. Fortunately, two soldiers were able to sneak out through the side door while it was distracted. The two immediately rushed over to the others. They had some scratches and one's arm seemed to be broken, but other than that, they seemed fine.

"what's the status of the others? There were two others in there right?" Lucas asked

"the drivers dead, severe lacerations to the head, likely a combination of physical trauma and broken glass. We couldn't confirm the other, but we believe him to be unconscious" one of the soldiers replied. That was all Lucas needed to know.

Bullets struck its back, stomach, even its head. Hell, one man had even took control of a machine gun atop an m205. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to do much. The dragons hide was just too thick. Most bullets bounced off it, whole while the ones that didn't failed to pierce it's skin enough to do significant damage. Even though the dragon did move back slightly, it seemed to be more out of shock at the resistance being put up than actual damage

Seemingly tired waiting, the dragon began to flap it's wings, and Lucas could see a bright light growing within its maw.

Lucas immediately knew what it was about to do: it was going to burn them to cinders. He turned to the scorpion tank and yelled out two words:

"OPEN FIRE!"

the tankers didn't disappoint. Less than a few seconds after he yelled it out...
