In the depths of Marais forest, a former settlement has been fortified with walls of scrap metal, it's old population moving to the alnus refugee settlement to escape the ongoing conflict. Their new inhabitants were the reapers: an elite covert operations unit of the British army, consisting of some of its most hardened veterans.

Currently, a pair of reapers were dragging a saderan soldier with a bag over his head into the base. The soldier in question was named Marcus vulpixus, and had been captured in an ambush on a saderan legion the previous night

As he was dragged, Marcus could vaguely see outlines through the hood. Unfortunately, what he saw wasn't reassuring: a collection of bodies, who he could only assume were fellow saderan soldiers, were strung up by their legs. Some had entire limbs missing, some their throats slit. All he could think was how he was going to survive this, with nobody knowing he was even alive, captured by an enemy he couldn't understand, as he was dragged Into a small shack

As the reapers removed the bag, it took a few moments for Marcus' senses to readjust. He found himself strapped to some sort of table, his arms and legs bound so that he couldn't move. Once he could focus, one of the reapers began to speak.

"here's how this is going to go." he stated, a hint of malice in his voice "I'm going to ask you a question, and you're going to give me an answer. Understood?"

Marcus could only nod.

"good. Now, what's your name?"

"Marcus vulpixus"

"good. Good start. Second, what were you doing out in the woods?"

"our commander wanted us to return to base, and had us force March their through the night, expecting to make it by morning. However, he must have read to map wrong"
