"I cannot believe that person is a child..."

Elevant was still in disbelief, he still just couldn't believe that the little girl that had murdered hundreds of goblins was indeed a little girl.

"Hmph, I would rather like to know that it was young blood that defeated me this day rather than some old race... we need new generations of warriors."

Donadrond was rather keen on thinking Fran was a child. In many sense, it was not bad to think this way at all. Many great adventurers were beginning or have retired. There were only a few that were active but their regions of activity were rather unknown. If there weren't any powerful adventurers born soon, there would be a problem with monsters in the future. Too little power but too many monsters would devastate all kingdoms, especially if the main armies of the nations would have to send their armies to the cursed continent...

However... if Fran was indeed a child...

"While I personally agree with Donadrond on the belief that we need new adventurers to fill in the shoes of retiring ones. Their abnormal strength makes them rather a concern. Their appearance doesn't suggest they are a long living race. They don't have any characteristics of an elf or a dwarf... either her appearance is dominated by her Beastman genes or she truly is a child."

"How could a child be that powerful?"

"If I knew, I wouldn't have to openly discuss it with either of you... there are no records about her... I tried watching her with my spirits for a bit of time but they retracted after feeling a menacing aura."

"From what? Her?"

"No, there's something guarding her. Or precisely... someone..."

"Hm? Someone?"

Donadrond seemed equally as confused. Not that I blamed them.

"From what I have witnessed with my spirits, there appeared to be a woman that was roughly more than 140cm. They have a rather remarkable blue for their hair that it could almost be mistaken for silver. As much as I wanted to learn more, the spirits did not approach that woman."

"Why?"

"For that, I am unsure. They were rowdy nor were they frantic. They were simply terrified as if that person could murder a spirit."

As much as I would wish to confront that individual, it seemed that they have not attempted any rash actions in Alessa. Only time could tell...

Whether that women could be trusted... or if even the child she's surrounding is really a child at all...

Who were they? Why were they here? What were they planning? Where did they come from?

I had my initial suspicions that they came from Raydoss but the most I gathered so far was they came from the southern lands.

Still...

I had to figure who they truly were...!
