Half an hour passed since our meeting with Klimt.

"Nn..."

"There there..."

We had gotten back to the inn a bit ago. Fran's emotions were all over the place. On one hand, she was absolutely delighted that she became an F-Rank but on the other, she got benched. I felt bad for her but there wasn't much I could do for her since it was the Guildmaster's choice.

"Wanted to kill Goblins..."

"It's ok Fran. It's ok."

Fran's armor was still roughed up.

"Fran, mind taking off your armor?"

"Ok..."

Fran took off her armor and gave them over towards me. The armor was heavily battered and there were still some sword fragments and portions of it that were destroyed from spells being launched at her.

"Alright. Let's see..."

I devoured the armor pieces.

"M-master?! W-wait! Don't take it away-"

"Don't worry. I'm not. I'm just repairing it."

"You... you can do that?"

"Yup."

Now Great Sage, if you don't mind.

<Understood. Beginning repair process. Successful. Armor has been repaired.>

"Alright. Your armor has been repaired."

"Then we can-"

"No, no hunting."

"But Master!"

"It's good to be training constantly but it's not healthy to be training every single day without rest. Hakurou taught me that."

"Hakurou? Who's that?"

"Think of him as Master's Master."

"Oh! What was he like?"

"He was... a nice old man..."

I was beginning to reminisce but Fran seemed interested in learning more about him. There shouldn't be any harm from the stories I tell her... right? They might be tales that took place in another world but there's surprisingly a lot of similarities with what I built in my old world and what exists here.

"Long ago, I was nothing more than just a small slime bouncing around the Great Jura Forest."

"Great Jura Forest?"

"It was essentially my home. I used to live there."

"What happened?"

"Not sure. But that's not what the story is about."

"Oh."

"I built a small city that my friends called Rimuru City... It was peaceful most of the time but there was obviously a need for defense."

"Like walls?"

"Well the forest provided a natural wall. We were pretty far away from enemies so at first the only people we had to fear were others that lived in the forest."

I was tempted to mention what kind of people they were but since Fran has been hunting goblins constantly, I didn't want to suddenly rain on her success as an adventurer. After all, if she knew the goblins I knew were smart people, she might be hesitant in the coming battles.

I stayed silent on that subject for now and just continued on my story.

"So?"

"One day while me and a group of my friends were hunting, we met some new friends. Although it wasn't a good meeting."
