Attack: 132; MP: 300/300; Durability: 150/150
[Rank 2; Crystals: 101/300; Skill Capacity: 12; EP: 10]
I ended up killing my 96th monster. It seemed like some monster crystals were better than others but I couldn't only really judge until after the battle with them.
Going around using Gluttony on all my opponents is really troublesome though.
There were quite a few Skills I ended up amassing at least.
Skill Bank:
Sword Mastery 1; Dig 1; Disassembly 1; Club Mastery 1; Command 1; Survivalist 1; Kobold Killer 1; Vibration Sense 1; Climbing 1; Poison Fang; Poison Resistance 1; Hunting 1; Digestion Enhancement; Mana Drain 1; Hawk Eyes 1; Float 1
It seemed like I wasn't able to absorb the original level of the Skill even with Gluttony.
I initially was wondering why but Great Sage had an answer.
<According to the description of Essence of Gluttony, there exists a version of the Skill Predator here. It is likely that this Skill will take and analyze the powers of those consumed but reset the level to one as a sort of balance. Unfortunately there may be various other factors at play.>
That's what she said at least but it potentially isn't the only thing that might be affecting it. There might be a chance that Gluttony is being affected by some outside force. Maybe the gods? Well in my previous world, there weren't exactly any gods so I doubt there would be any here... right?
<...>
Why aren't you giving a Yes or No?!
Well, regardless, there seemed to be an awful amount of other Skills I could toy with looking at it. I could equip and unequip them whenever my heart desired it, although I could definitely leave Great Sage to handle that when I call for it.
In addition, there was an entire list of Skills I could quite literally buy with the EP I had. There was also the opportunity to buy better Skills to upgrade the ones that I already had. I wondered if I could use them on the Essence of Wisdom or Essence of Gluttony but it didn't seem possible unfortunately.
Looking at the list...
Upgrades:
Attack Up (Small); Durability Up (Small); Telekinesis Up (Small); Telepathy Up (Small); MP Up (Small); Skill Capacity Up (Small); Bestiary; Herbology; Mineralogy; Increase Skill Level.
Each one seemed self explanatory but three in particular stood out to me.
Bestiary, Herbology, and Mineralogy.
According to the descriptions of them, they provided knowledge of their respective categories such as Bestiary providing knowledge about beasts, Herbology providing knowledge about plants, and Mineralogy providing knowledge about minerals. Normally in most RPGs, the problem with these sorts of things is that it takes a while to learn all about the respective monsters and it might take too long to filter out the necessary information.
Thankfully I have a good partner who would like to go through all that.
<Notice: You have obtained Bestiary and Herbology.>
I could have gone for increasing Skill Levels but I didn't really find that necessary since I was doing fine using Gluttony. There hasn't been a single thing that has successfully survived it at least.
Alright! How's the new Skills Great Sage?
<Notice: New information has become available.>
Good to hear!
