We were traveling a lot.

The blonde guy jumped across the rocks on the river and made it to the other side.

He began waving his hands around.

"Come along!"

Everyone began jumping across the rocks one at a time. I joined in as well.

While I was jumping on the rocks, I wondered something. This river seemed like a very long river, maybe this is the same river that is next to Alessa?

I wanted to know but my master wasn't here to tell me.

I could only guess.

Well...

(What do you think, junior?)

(Woof!)

(I think so too.)

The water was clean, so it would be good to drink from it.

I was preparing to jump to the next rock but I felt like a twig was about to hit my back leg. I jumped and dodged it, only to find the angry man from earlier fell over into the water.

"What are you doing?"

"Shut the hell up you little bitch."

"Nn. No."

I proceeded to walk away from the situation, only for the angry man to get more angry. I felt like he wanted to hurt me but he can't, mainly because I won't let him. My master wants me to come back safe.

"Y-you little bitch! Get back here!"

"Krad! Stop trying to fight your own allies!"

"She's a deceptive little bastard! She's no ally when she lies her way to the top!"

The blonde man seemed mad, he didn't like that the angry man was always yelling. I wondered why he was so mad all the time, he just spouts insults over and over.

We continued walking along the path and headed into the nearby forest.

"Hey... little one."

"Nn?"

It was that archer lady from earlier.

"Nn. Hi."

"Hello, are you doing alright?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

She seemed worried about me.

"Don't worry about the crude things coming out of Krad, he's just mad that you got ranked up far faster than he did over his years."

"I'm not worried."

I've heard much worse things from people.

I've been beaten over the tiniest of things, sometimes beaten for not doing anything wrong at all. I was forced to wear a collar that made me do whatever the slavers desired. They told me I was a disgrace, pathetic, a weakling, all sorts of insults that I couldn't do anything about.

Those words began to not mean anything at all after a while.

They said it so much I got used to it.

What this Krad guy kept calling me was really nothing compared to the words that they called me before.

"Nn. I'm fine. Thanks."

"A-alright, just let me know if you want help."

She gave me a thumbs up, she seemed nice. I wonder what my master would think of her?
