It was driving Kai crazy, seeing Miwa talking to Misaki all the time.He didn't know when he had developed this little crush but all he knew was that it was annoying him. Miwa was currently chatting happily with Misaki at the counter and that thought made him feel so irritated he almost bend the cards in his hand.
He usually likes to take his time when he was fighting with Aichi, he's nice to cardfight with. He wondered how it'll feel like, card fighting Misaki. He only fought her twice but that was a really long time ago.
He finished Aichi off with enormous power on his vanguard plus two critical triggers. Overkill. Eight damage. That released his anger a little bit. His head rested on his entwined fingers, elbows on the table. Aichi tilted his head curiously.
"Is something the matter, Kai?"
"Huh?" He looked at him. "Uh, no. Nothing much." He leaned back on his chair. "So how are you and Kourin doing?" Kai smirked.
Blood immediately rised up to his cheeks as he stammered. "Nothing much I guess. We just spend a lot of time at school that's all." Aichi laughed nervously.
Miwa suddenly sat at the chair beside Kai like a boss. "Kai, are you flirting with Aichi? Seriously, bro people already think you two are gay I didn't think you really were." Miwa chirped playfully.
Kai shrugged. "Just asking what was going on between him and Kourin."
"Ohhhh. Come on, Aichi. Tell big bro Miwa what's going on." Miwa put his hands on the table and looked at Aichi with much interest.
"Uh... Um... Nothing's going on, it's just that I sort of like her, I guess?" Aichi stuttered, fiddling with his fingers.
"There you have it. News of the week. Aichi admits his love for Kourin! That would actually be a good headline for the Vanguard weekly, don't you think?" Miwa fantasized, clearly making fun of him.
"That would be interesting. They're both famous and all." Kai added.
"N-no! Don't, don't do that. Just please don't." Aichi was looking like a tomato right now.
Kai ignored their conversation and stared at Misaki reading her book, flipping the page every half a minute. If he was who he was a year ago, he would've laughed at himself. Interested in a girl? Never in a million years. Well, seems like a million years have passed since he already likes her.
Liking someone is every exhausting, he thought and decided to call it a day. He grabbed his bag and headed towards to door.
"You're leaving this early?" He heard Misaki ask. He turned to look at her.
"Yeah."
"I'll see you tommorow then." Misaki smiled. He held up his hand in goodbye and walked out, wondering why she had to make things so difficult.
