"Hey, Misaki! Do you have a shift this weekend?" Miwa asked Misaki as both Kai and him walked into the card shop.
"Uh... I guess it's my day off this Saturday." Misaki looked up from her book.
"Do you want to hang out with us?"
Us? Kai thought. Does that mean me too?
"Sure. I guess I could." Misaki gave them a weird look.
"Why am I involved in this?" Kai asked Miwa, clearly not very happy.
"Because you're my best mate, of course you'll be involved!" Miwa slung an arm around his shoulders.
"I'm busy on Saturday."
"Eh? What are you doing?"
"I might be meeting Ren." Kai said, which was true. He was going to meet with Ren one of these days and in this situation, it was going to be this Saturday.
"Maybe we can all go meet them! It's been so long since we've seen team asteroid!" Miwa chirped.
Shit. This is not what I expected.
"What about team asteroid?" Misaki suddenly asked.
"Kai's meeting Ren this Saturday. I was thinking we can all go meet them." Miwa replied.
"Will Asaka be there?"
"Asaka?" Both of them asked, confused.
"Yeah, Asaka Narumi. Something wrong?" Misaki raised an eyebrow.
"Aren't you guys mortal enemies or something?" Kai asked.
"Things change. You changed a great deal too, being friends with a supposed to be mortal enemy is nothing shocking." She told him.
She has a point. He thought.
"Let's ask Aichi if he wants to come too! Aichi!!!" Miwa ran across the room, making Kai sigh.
"There will be nothing if I can't manage to get Ren to agree though, so keep up the fantasies." Kai muttered.
