Don't Tell Anyone

Sixteen

Someone was shaking Misaki's shoulder, and Misaki could tell right away that it was Kai.

She forced her eyes to open and looked at Kai, who was holding a hand out for her. "What?"

"We're almost there." He said.

Misaki blinked away some of her sleepiness and tried to stand up. But the train suddenly stopped and she lost her balance but quickly regained it when Kai grabbed her arm.

"Careful." He said and slipped his fingers into hers. 

The act made Misaki wake up instantly. She could feel heat radiate from his hands to hers. It made her heart beat uncontrollably and the thought finally sunk in as Kai guided her to the exit.

She was Kai's girlfriend.

Kai was her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend.

She felt giddy just thinking about it.

"Look at them, they're holding hands. How cute!!" Ren gushed.

"Shut up, Ren." Kai said, blushing deep red.

"Don't talk to Ren like that. Besides, you two are cute together." Asaka commented.

"Let's just go already."

Asaka came up beside Misaki and hooked her arm aroud hers. "So, Misaki, where do you wanna go?"

"You're the one who needs a new wardrobe, not me. I just bought some clothes two weeks ago." Misaki told Asaka.

"Seriously? So you came for nothing?"

"I just thought it will be fun to help you look for clothes, but with these two here, maybe not so much."  Misaki said, sending a glare to Ren's direction.

 Ren acted like an arrow shot through his heart. "Ouch, that hurt MisaQ. We just want you to forget about your date with Miwa." He explained, grinning widely.

"It's not helping." Misaki retorted. "And it's MISAKI."

"You boys do what you want to do, Misaki will come with me. Tell us where to meet later. Bye then!" Asaka pulled Misaki away from Kai's grasp.

Misaki instantly missed his warmth but continued to get dragged away by Asaka. She looked at her right hand, the one that Kai held on to and just stared at it. Her stomach flipped, just thinking about his hand holding hers.

"I thought I was the lovesick girl, but you're already missing your boyfriend?" Asaka teased. "Even I haven't missed Ren yet."  Misaki glared at Asaka, her face blushing deep red.

"I just..... Feel weird, after seeing him." Misaki said.

"And you feel hot and jittery, your heart is beating a hundred times per second, your stomach keeps flipping, and you feel electricity flowing through your body when he touched you, right?" Asaka asked with a smirk. 

"Uh- um- yeah." Misaki blushed darker, looking at the floor to avoid Asaka's gaze.

"You're in love."

"Eh?"

"You're. In. Love. With. Kai." Asaka said, emphasizing on each word.

"That- That's impossible. I've n-never had these kind of f-f-feelings before, so why now? 

It was just a deal so he won't tell anyone-"

"Ne, Misaki. Do you think he would tell anyone if you didn't make the deal?"

Misaki put that question into her mind. Would he really have told anyone? "I don't think so." She finally said.

"Like Ren said, I think Kai has like you for a while now, and he does not know how to express it. I think it was his chance to make you his, don't you think?"

Misaki bit her lip. "When did you become such a love expert?"

"I am in love with a stupid, dense kid for a long time, so yeah."
