Asaka stepped into the bookshop, not even trying to bother to know where Ren has ran off to. She genuinely felt happy for Misaki. If she couldn't have a proper love life, she could at least see a romance bloom between her two friends.
"Excuse me, may I know where the envelopes are?" She asked a worker whose back was facing her as he arranged the messy books.
When he turned around, the both of them were shocked.
"Takashi?"
"Narumi?"
Asaka looked dumbfounded. "You work here?"
Takashi scratched the back of his head as he chuckled, messing up his beautiful blond hair. "Yeah.... my family isn't very well off at the moment so I had to work part time."
Asaka put her hands in front of her and played with her fingers. "I'm sorry to hear that, but do your best!" She said cheerfully.
"No no no, don't apologise. I was just rambling. You wanted to see the envelopes?"
Asaka nodded and followed him.
"Any specific preferences?"
"Hmm... not really. I'm picking it out for a friend."
"Should I help you?" His cheeks turned a little pink as he smiled.
"Sure." She returned the smile, immediately feeling comfortable with him.
"Is this for a confession letter?" He asked.
Asaka laughed. "Yes, how do you know?"
"Why else would anyone want to buy overpriced paper?" He joked. "Is it a girl to a boy? What are their favourite colours?"
"A boy to a girl actually. I'm pretty sure her favourite colour is green. I think his favourite colour is red. And they're very serious people and quiet."
"I know just the one. Give me a moment to find it."
Asaka found herself surpressing a smile. Somehow, he has gotten more attractive than when he had confessed to her the week before. She waiting patiently while looking through the designs. There were all so beautiful she even wanted to buy one for herself.
"Here, these are a few nice ones." Takashi arranged them like a fan on his hands to show Asaka.
"Awww... these are so nice. Thank you." Asaka smiled brightly.
Blood rushed to Takashi's cheeks and he scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Your welcome."
"I'll take this one. I'm sure Misaki would like this." She pointed at an envelope painted in apple green with leaves decorating the sides. Takashi handed it to her.
"Misaki? You mean Misaki Tokura from Q4?" He asked, surprised.
"Yup. How do you know her?" Asaka tilted her head in question.
Takashi gave her a flat look. "You seem to forget that I'm a cardfighter too Narumi. We go to the same school."
Asaka smacked her forehead lightly. "Right. I forgot. I've got too much in my head lately."
Takashi chuckled. "Don't push yourself too hard. I thought you two were archenemies?"
"Hmmm.. things have changed I guess." She smiled.
"So who's the guy you're helping with this?"
"Oh, you wouldn't believe it if I told you." She said excitedly.
"Is it the blond dude that's always with them?"
Asaka crossed her fingers. "Wrong. It's Kai Toshiki!"
"Seriously?! I can't imagine. He's the really scary Kagero user am i right?"
Asaka giggled. "Yup. Unbelievable right?"
Takashi agreed. "Ah, I'm sorry. I have to get back to work now. I'll see you in school." He gave a a big smile.
"Okay. Thank you."
Takashi gave her a salute and walked off. Asaka called his name, before her could go any further.
"About the date. Is the offer still open?"
Takashi was dumbfounded at the question. He couldn't believe he was hearing this. No words could come out from his mouth and so he nodded frantically.
Asaka laughed. "Then, two days from now, right after school?"
"Does that mean?"
"Yes. I have finally gotten over Ren, don't tell anyone yet okay?" She put a finger to her lips before flicking her wrist. "Now shoo, go work."
And with that Takashi stumbled away in happiness.
Asaka felt a huge weight being lifted from her shoulders. Step one to getting over Ren, complete.

//gladly accepts all the sticks and stones you throw at me because its really my fault for not updating//
Hi everyone, alexaraine here. (God, it's been a long time since i used this name) I'm very sorry for not updating for a long time, or finishing this story like i would some time ago. Here are a few of my reasons:
- I was damn busy. I couldhardly balance between schoolwork and music
- It completely slipped my mind
- I am not very interesting in writing anymore since I haven't got the time to even read books and i had nowhere to get inspiration. Plus, my English is getting worse from the lack of practise. Also, i hate my English teacher so yeahhh
- I'm now more into drawing and hopefully one day I'll be able to draw a webtoon or a doujin X)
I'll definitely try to finish this story but it's gonna be really half assed. Thank you for staying with me throughout this story and I hope I will still gain support, although i am aware that I am unworthy. With this chapter I've included my artwork of our beloved Misaki so if you could, please follow my art account on Instagram and Twitter.
