"Maybe some things just can't go back to the way they were. We just have to move on and hope for the best.."

Kimmy, Lexi, and DJ had just gotten home from school but didn't have time to waste. They were planning the dance for next Friday and still had a lot to do.
They walked into the house and everyone greeted them but they all just said bye.
"Girl, wait. How about a little, 'Hello, how was your day?'" Danny stopped them.
"No time to talk. We're in charge of a dance." DJ informed her father and left the kitchen as the three adults followed them.
"What about your homework?" Joey called.
"If we do our homework now, what do we do while they take attendance." Kimmy responded.
"Don't worry about me and Deej, Dad and Uncle Danny, we're almost finished." Lexi yelled to her dad.
"Oh, yeah? Let's see it then." Jesse said as they followed the teens up the steps.
"Did I say we were almost finished? I meant we almost started." Lexi corrected herself.

The girls were now in DJ and Stephanie's room planning out the dance.
Kimmy was currently on the phone calling around for a band. "Great! The dance is next Friday. Don't be late." Kimmy hung up the phone with a smile. "Dog face said yes."
"Alright, we got a band." DJ nodded, checking it off her list.
"I personally think we should've gone with The Blue Waves." Lexi shrugged, she was currently organizing food and drinks.
"Dog Face? Blue Waves? Never heard of them." Stephanie interjected with a confused expression.
"That's because you're in second grade and Dog Face and Blue Waves are high school bands." Kimmy stood up informing the blonde.
"So? The Rolling Stones are about a 100 and I've heard of them." Stephanie retorted.
"That's because The Rolling Stones actually have good music. Dog face does, but.. Blue Waves are better." Lexi explained.
"So what's next on our list?" DJ queried to herself, and checked her notebook.
"Well, this is a backwards dance. That means we have to get some guys to be our dates." Kimmy stated. DJ, Kimmy, and Lexi all sat down at the small table to discuss.
"I'm covered. Just waiting for Noah to ask me." Lexi sighed checking her nails. "Ooo! Deej, call up Kevin." Lexi suggested.
"I can't right now. I don't have his phone number." DJ sighed softly trying to get out of it.
