Later, that night, the Chipmunks are in their bedroom.
Alvin: Guys, it's time. Operation ring retrieval is a go. No ring, no proposal.
They get out of bed.
Alvin: No proposal, no Miles. Theo, fall in line, soldier.
Theodore: Oh, brother.
Meanwhile, Dave is sleeping in bed. Alvin sneaks in and caws, signaling them.
Simon: Alvin, what... Are we doing a charade?
Theodore: Oh, cool. Two words.
Alvin: No.
He signals again.
Simon: First down? What are you... Two syllables. Sounds like.
Theodore: Is it a movie?
Simon: A song.
Theodore: First word? Angry?
Alvin: Get over here.
Theodore: Okay.
Simon: Still, no idea what you're saying.
Alvin: Theodore, you keep an eye on Dave. Simon and I will get the ring.
He pulls Simon, and Theodore climbs up to the bed, watching Dave sleep, while moving to the other side. Simon opens the secret door, that shows the safe.
Simon: There you are.
He grabs the stethoscope.
Simon: Alvin, grab this.
He lowers the diaphragm to Alvin, and he climbs up. Theodore gave a thumb up, and Dave sneezes while sleeping.
Alvin: Let's do this.
Simon wears the stethoscope in his arms, doing the combination on the safe, while Alvin watches Dave. Simon unlocks the lock
Alvin: Yes.
He opens the safe, but nothing was in it.
Simon: The bag's gone.
Alvin: No.
Theodore: You mean that bag over there?
He points over to the nightstand.
Alvin: And I'm back to "yes".
The alarm rings.
Theodore: Uh-oh.
Alvin: All right, back to no.
Simon: Abort. Abort. Let's go.
Alvin throws the stethoscope in the safe and closes. As they're about to leave, Dave wakes up.
Dave: Guys? What are you doing in here?
Alvin: Uh... Well... We...just wanted to spend as much time as possible with you before you left for Miami.
Dave: All right. I'll make breakfast.
He gets out of bed.
Theodore: Whoo-hoo! I love breakfast.
Simon: Alvin, grab it.
He whispered.
Theodore: Ooh, ooh, Belgian waffles, pancakes. So excited.
Alvin runs back, climbing up the chair, where the bag is and takes it with him, putting it under the bed before, heading out the room.
Later, Dave walks out the kitchen with a suitcase.
