Nightbreak had spread across the outskirts of Ostania, but while the city settled down, danger remained afoot.
"Please, let me go!" a man whimpered as a strange figure held him at gunpoint. "SILENCE!" the burly crime boss barked at him as his henchmen proceeded to unload the cargo from a shipping container and into an illegally parked box truck. As his men followed his orders, the boss grabbed a stack from one of the loads and sniffed it, "Mmmmh. Sweet sweet money." he exhaled. The hostage had no other choice but to keep silent and watch as the imported cash proceeded to be stolen. Even if he could, he had no chance of escaping, his arms and legs had been tied together.
While they proceeded with their plan, one of the thieves could feel something zip by, like a sharp breeze. Before he could say anything, he heard something burst. Upon investigation, large gashes had been sliced in the truck's tires, they were going nowhere!
The boss grew impatient, "What's the hold up!?" he ordered before one of his men pointed to his right. From the fog, another individual could be seen approaching. The petty thieves stood in silence, they were not expecting any company. As it got closer, it became clear, that was no man, it was a woman!
As she rose out of the fog, she extended her twin stilettos, giving off an imposing shing!
"Fire away men!" the crime boss ordered, with his cronies dropping their payloads and opening fire on the strange woman.
Once the smoke cleared, she was gone! The head of the thieves chuckled before sensing someone approaching from behind. "Good evening." he could hear a smooth, young voice say, "May I have the honor of taking your lives?" It was the woman from before! The men attempted to open fire, but had run out of ammo!
In one swift strike, one minion was on the ground, followed by another. The crime boss was frustrated! "GRRG! Why is there blood on my money?!" he scowled before the mysterious woman crept towards him. She had long black hair matching her pitch black outfit, with blood red eyes.
"Just who the hell do you think you are?" he growled before she leapt towards him, pinning the large man to the wall. As she extended her blood dripped weapon, she answered, "Just call me Thorn Princess."
SLASH!
Within a single second, he was no more. The innocent bystander was partially drenched in a shower of blood, shivering in horror. The Thorn Princess on the other hand, was as clean as a whistle, with only her weapons being covered in drops of the enemy's blood. "Are you ok sir?" she asked, to which the man could only nod while whimpering in fear. "It's ok," she smiled as she used her weapons to cut his ropes, "you're safe now, just make sure nobody knows I was here."
The Thorn Princess knelt down and wiped some of the blood off the scared individual's face with a spare wad of cash lying around. "By the way," she asked, "do you have the time?". The civilian looked at his watch, "Half past seven." he cried. She sighed with relief, "There's still time, I gotta hurry!" before dashing away in the blink of an eye.

"Ok, I got the eggs, vegetables, what am I forgetting? Oh, and the peanuts!"
The Thorn Princess stood in the checkout line, hoping nobody would pay any notice to the tall lady in a dark dress. When not on the job, she took on the identity of Yor Forger. Her cover? Clerk at Berlint City Hall, wife to Loid Forger, and mother of the ever curious yet trouble-prone Anya Forger.
Yor hurried home, sneaking into her room window to change out of her outfit. If anyone found out about her secret job, she'd have no choice but to kiss her current life goodbye. Once changed, she swiftly descended back outside and to the front door.
"Mama's home!" cheered Anya as she rushed up to hug her mother. Yor knelt down to embrace her daughter, it had been another long day. Loid warmly greeted her, "Welcome home Yor," he smiled, "How was today?"
Yor sighed, attempting to cover up the fact she interfered with a mob boss stealing imported cash from the harbor, "Oh, nothing new, still as long and stressful as ever. Boss had me sorting out files for hours." but Anya knew what was up, and her eyes glistened when she read Yor's thoughts about killing the mob boss.
Before long, dinner was ready. Yor's cooking often ranged from edible cardboard to an unholy alternative to cyanide, but she had been putting in the effort to make something that wouldn't make her family pass out or her husband seemingly spend hours in the restroom. "Mmm, another beef stew." admired Loid as his cover wife brought everyone's plate over. "Thought I'd stick to the basics for tonight" answered Yor, as she and the others dug in, with the dog, Bond admiring the seemingly delectable human dish.
Yor made sure to catch up on the rest of the family, "So, how was school today Anya?" she asked as the little girl took a sip of water. Once her food was down, Anya was eager to give the news, "Oh! We dissectioned a froggy today!" she beamed. Yor smiled at Anya, "Oh, really?." she smiled. Yor was not the biggest fan of frogs, or any creature she considered kinda icky, but was intrigued, "They're...teaching kids how to murder frogs and dismember their internal organs?" she thought to herself, "That's...graphic."
Anya continued, "And that's not enough, it got so stinky that Sy-on Boy threw up!" Loid spit out his tea, not really in the mood to be hearing this while enjoying Yor's beef stew. "And how was work, Loid?" Yor asked. Loid sighed, "Pretty busy lately, a lot of clients at the psychiatrist's." His spy work had been very busy lately, but at the end of the day, he was glad to have two smiling faces to come home to, something he hoped the rest of the world could experience some day.
After dinner, it was time for Anya's bath and bedtime, she had school the next day. Once in bed, she could see Bond stare at her, as if he wanted to tell her something important. "Can Bond sleep with me tonight?" she grinned as the dog sat at her door frame. Loid sighed, "I'm afraid he might keep you up all night," and thought to himself, "If this dog prevents her from getting at least 8 hours of sleep, Operation Strix is doomed." but Yor was more open to the idea, "Come on Loid" she pleaded as Bond stared at him with the most puppy-like face a big, white Pyrenees Mountain dog could conjure up.
Loid sighed, even he could not resist the ever loyal Bond, "Alright, just for tonight." he answered. Anya cheered as Bond laid on the bed, curled up like a giant yeti. Yor sang Anya to sleep as she dozed off, with Yor heading on her way to bed right afterwards.
Once the parents were out of earshot, Bond placed his head next to Anya. She read his mind and saw an image of herself in her school uniform, seeming to be excitedly announcing something big to her parents. Whatever happened tomorrow was going to be big!
Editor's Note: And I am back, welcome to 2024 everybody!
I have had this idea since June or July of 2023, I was showing my mother more episodes of Spy x Family and thought to myself, "You know what would be funny but have a lot of story potetinal? What if Yor got mistaken for a spy?" During my spare time and during my summer job, I would think of how the story would unfold, the places she would go, and how she ended up getting involved in the first place.
This is also my first time making a non MHA fanfic and my first one to be on one of my favorites, Spy x Family. I have loved this show since I watched it in 2022, with Yor probably being my favorite character amongst such a charming cast. My only problem with her was that season 1 didn't give her much to do, which made me all the more excited to work on this.
Stay tuned for more!
