After reporting back to headquarters, Yor looked away in shame. She knew Mother Goose would not be proud of what had happened that day. Even though she retrieved the bomb from ROWN, she did not deactivate it and her last second plan to eliminate the targets destroyed part of the mountain.

Agent Crow had no words to say, the events that unfolded seemed to prove his point, The Thorn Princess was a killer, not a spy or anything else professional.

Once at the rendezvous, The Thorn Princess was prepared to face the music. Mother Goose wasn't as angry as she had feared, but was still unimpressed with both of their display. "Agents," Mother Goose started, before Yor raised her hand and explained, "It's me. I shouldn't have come up with the idea for us to split up. In fact, the whole mess is my fault"

Yor asked to continue before anything could be added, "I want to help, but I can't weigh you down any longer." she stood up, bowing in respect, "I wish to continue on my own. It's better if we remain separate."

Mother Goose tried to hide it, but she was shocked. The way she saw it, Yor was doing pretty good for her first field mission, aside from a few rookie mistakes. "But, Agent Thorn-" she tried to reason.

The Thorn Princess sighed, "With all due respect sir, Agent Crow has been doing a great job on his own. It's better that your top spy continues this mission solo. The whole world is at stake, and I can't risk putting it in any more danger"

Mother Goose felt even more remorse, "But...what about Anya?" she asked, concerned. Yor determinedly gripped her stilettos, "I'll save her, even if I have to kill everyone I see. I know your team can stop ROWN. Anya's counting on me. Even if I must split up, I can't give up on her!" Goose was reluctant, but she knew where Yor was coming from, "It's been an honor to have you of service." she finally spoke, "Farewell, Agent Thorn."

Yor marched on out, determined to catch the next ride to Anya's upcoming destination and assassinate the ROWN leader. To her, that was the only way she could help, by doing what came natural to her. Once she was out of sight, Mother Goose sternly turned to Agent Crow, "Did you have anything to do with this?" she asked, but Crow had no answer. While he was not on board with having a partner, he never meant for this to happen. He had failed his partner, again.

Before long, the next train departed as Yor sat by herself, lost in her own thoughts as the rain softly started hitting her window. "I'm not a spy, I'm not a mother, I'm not a wife, I'm just pretending to be those things!" As she kept beating herself up, she could hear Crow's words echoing through her head, "On your own, you're incompetent! You're only good for killing, that's it!"

Once Yor was let off the train, it was nighttime and the light drizzle had turned into a heavy rainfall. She needed somewhere to keep shelter for the time being. While keeping her eyes to the ground, she could see something illuminated in a puddle. Looking up, she could see the sign for a pub glowing through the hazy rainfall. In a time like this, all she needed was a nice drink to get her head straight, even if she was a notorious lightweight,

Once inside, Yor strived to prevent making eye contact with anyone. A live jazz band was slowly serenading the audience, with a large floor nearby for any dancers. She sat down at a lonely bar stool, with the menu listing a multitude of drinks that seemed foreign to her.

As she examined the alcohol menu, someone sat down right next to her. He wore a coat and hat that obscured his face. He was clearly making an effort to go undetected. Somehow, Yor could feel a comfortably familiar aura to him, and so could he. He turned around to face her as time seemed to stop for the both of them.
