Agent Crow was rushed to the nearest hospital. Yor had to think of a good cover-up for what had happened, she couldn't just spill that he was a spy who got shot by a high class terrorist that she sent falling through the mechanisms of a giant clock tower. When explaining to the front office what happened, she simply stated, "Uh...he was hunting and the bullet bounced off."
Yor could only hope that her comrade would heal up, as she had to leave for home as soon as possible before Anya's school returns. A female nurse quickly took her in, as Yor softly waved goodbye to Agent Crow. Once Outside, she took one last look back before someone beckoned her over. She knew that voice, it was Mother Goose. "Ms. Forger, we at S.P.A.R.R.O.W. are forever in your debt. You have gone above and beyond the call of duty today, doing things even our other top spies could never have done." Yor was touched by her praises, but stayed humble. The way The Thorn Princess saw it, she was only just doing the right thing.
Mother Goose had an offer, "I know this may seem sudden, but we would be honored to have you onboard S.P.A.R.R.O.W. as one of our top field agents. It's the least I can do for you." While this mission had been pretty fun in spite of the constant life threatening scenarios and close calls, Yor could not accept. She had a purpose, even outside of her assassin work, "Ms. Goose" she answered, "I appreciate all of your support and high praise, but I already know where I belong, and the people I belong with." Goose understood where Yor was coming from, happy to see her stay true to herself, "Just know that if you ever need anything, we're happy to help." Yor did have one request.
She waited on the hospital roof as a helicopter landed. The door opened to a familiar face, "Welcome aboard Agent Forger." Agent Hawk greeted. Yor smiled back "Please, just Forger." she answered before climbing onboard. "Now hold on tight," Hawk told her as his passenger strapped in, "Winds are a little strong. This is going to be one fast ride home!"
They lifted off as Mother Goose quietly entered the hospital. Crow was more than relieved to see her. "Took quite the beating out there, didn't you?" Goose smirked as Crow chuckled back, "Trust me, I've been through worse." This was the first time she had seen him smile in ages, "So," he asked, "did she accept your offer?" Mother Goose sighed, explaining that The Thorn Princess was going back to her normal life. Crow was dismayed that he never got the chance to formally thank her, but was glad to know she was still doing well for someone who just saved the world. "You know" Agent Crow smiled, "I think I'm ready for my next partner."
Once above Ostania, Agent Hawk handed Yor a large pack, "Ok, once we're at 1000 feet, you jump out and then pull the tab. Just be sure to watch your landing." Yor thanked him for all the help, the trip only took about an hour. The sun was setting and Anya was to be home that night, so she had to hurry. The Thorn Princess jumped out the helicopter and pulled the tab. She could feel herself be jerked backwards as her ascent began to slow down. This was her first time parachuting, but she was mostly getting the hang of it. Yor then remembered one little errand she had to finish running.
"Down boy!" Camilla screamed, taking shelter on the living room table, "And quit chewing on my second favorite cutting board!"
SMASH!
Yor still hadn't gotten the hang of the brakes on her parachute. "MY WINDOW!" Camilla screamed as Yor quickly apologized and rushed off with Bond. They made it home just in time as Yor hurried to the train station to meet up with Loid so they could pick up Anya and welcome her home from her busy trip.On the way, Yor admired the night sky. The full moon from the other night was beginning to wane, no longer lighting her oath as before. Despite that, she knew her way through the city like the handle of her stiletto. Yor Forger arrived at the same time as Loid, "Yor." he smiled, "How was your trip?" She remembered their unexpected rendezvous at the bar, "After our little dance, my business trip was amazing!" she smiled, completely covering up the fact she saved an entire city from going boom, "How was yours?"
