"Insubordinate! Unacceptable! Mrs. Briar! What were you thinking!?"

The agents had met up with Mother Goose for their post field briefing. While Mother Goose possessed the authority to give commands and input to spies, Agent Crow found fit for him to speak his mind for once.

"Agent Crow, please!" Mother Goose sighed as she tried to calm him down, "Agent Thorn may have stepped out of line, but she managed to successfully remove the bomb before any harm could be done." Crow was indignant, "A little out of line? Just a little? No no no no no! I told her to stay back, she doesn't know the first thing about deactivating bombs. But she didn't listen. Instead, she ran off trying to be a hero, only to almost get everyone killed!"

Yor kept silent, not knowing whether to be proud of disarming a bomb and saving countless lives or to beat herself up for breaking away and attempting something probably best left to someone else. During the mission she had been doing her best, but her newfound partner never seemed to appreciate her help.

Before he could think of saying anything else, Agent Crow bit his tongue, he couldn't risk arguing with his boss any longer, lest he risk getting fired. After Mother Goose accomplished keeping Crow quiet, she spoke sincerely to Yor, "Agent Thorn, your efforts on the field were admirable. I have seen you do things that even our most experienced spies would never dream of achieving. Above all, you have worked hard and been a valuable asset to us all, on top of keeping up the professional image The Thorn Princess should be honored to carry."

Mother Goose then held up her finger, "However, you did lose focus and abandon your post the second you realized your daughter was in danger. As I mentioned, relationships as a spy can bring harm to others." Forger was reminded of Agent Crow's warning when they were in Etallix, and the same applied to her assassin work. Spy or killer, anybody she made connections to could have their own lives on the line without notice. "The televised event is approaching, and ROWN is getting even more hostile. Now isn't the time to get sidetracked, or worse, careless." Mother Goose concluded. Yor kept a professional look on her face, masquerading her shame, "Yes sir." she confirmed before they were dismissed.

The Thorn Princess exited alongside Agent Crow. In spite of all the shenanigans earlier, and the lively night event being held just hours earlier, the night remained silent and crystal clear, with the full moon and stars poking in through the clouds. The peace and quiet of the night only made Agent Crow's silence all the more intimidating. "I know why you're here." he stated coldly. Yor turned her head to his direction, "Everyone knows you have ulterior motives" Crow continued, trying to make a hint to her. Yor was able to catch on and was indignant, "I'm here to save the nations from crumbling apart!" she argued. Agent Crow begged to differ, "Did you sign up for this mission to save everyone, or just your daughter?"

She had about had it with Agent Crow's demeaning tone and condescending attitude towards her, but could not help but wonder the same thing. Once he had walked off, Yor stared up at the evening sky again. "Am I really doing the right thing?" She was more than used to living a lie, to her, that was all she was good for. For years, her cover, The Thorn Princess, was what defined her. She kept it hidden to everyone, but had still found herself rather lonely. It was only through donning another persona, that of Yor Forger, for her to finally find people outside of her brother who cared for her. She couldnt get rid of that, but outside of her role as Loid's wife and Anya's mother, what did she have left?

It was times like this where Anya or Loid would be there to cheer her up or remind her she's doing her best. They were something for her to look forward to coming home to, and Bond too. They all meant the world to her, but in her situation, the world was supposed to mean more to her.
