Alcohol really messes with his head. For the second time he had consumed alcohol, he couldn't remember much the next day. The aftermath of alcohol was a massive headache and dizziness. This time too, Taehyun wasn't there when he woke up. Instead, it was both his younger brothers Jiwon and Sieun, and their cat Molecule.

"Ah, you're awake!" Sieun exclaimed with an excited smile as he leaned over to greet him.

"Keep your voice down, Sieun" Jiwon warned as he moved hurriedly over to Beomgyu too to remove the huge cat off him, which was snuggling right up beside Beomgyu.

"Are you feeling alright? I got you Taehyun's clothes to wear in the bathroom. Go take a shower like... right now" the tall boy spoke in a rush and checked the time on his watch worriedly.

"Let him rest a bit, there's still time" Sieun argued.

Beomgyu watched in two brothers in confusion, the splitting headache he was experiencing definitely worsened his comprehension of the situation.

"Where's... Taehyun?" he managed to ask, regaining the attention of the brothers.

"Oh umm, our parents came back from their business trip pretty much unannounced... hyung's with them right now" Jiwon explained awkwardly, not knowing how he should break it to the clueless boy that it would be bad news if their parents saw him in the house.

The moment the siblings had received a text in their family chat that their parents were arriving soon, they had quickly united to remove any traces of Beomgyu's existence... which wasn't much since Taehyun had carried him all the way back to his room as soon as they reached home, except for the pair of dirty sneakers that was left at the doorstep before he got changed for clubbing and the old bicycle at the patio.

The Kang parents were very peculiar about visitors. They weren't very fond of them, and they did not allow sleepovers unless permission was given. Friends could visit, but not stay overnight. It would be best if friends don't visit as well.

Beomgyu happened to break all the rules. He visited almost everyday for study sessions, stayed over twice, and he was not just a friend to Taehyun; all the siblings knew that.

Their parents' expectations for Taehyun were impossibly high and they were unfairly strict towards him. In their eyes, Beomgyu would be a hindrance, a threat to their son's success in life.

"So... I need to leave?" Beomgyu spoke groggily after observing the expressions of the two younger brothers.

"Yes, I'm so sorry Beomgyu hyung" Sieun apologised, "we'll sneak you out."

The long haired boy nodded slowly, still feeling confused but decided to comply. Their house is huge, what are the chances of bumping into their parents? Would they be coming into Taehyun's room to check?

Brushing away his questions and the dubiety, he drank the hangover drink handed by Sieun and left the bed for the bathroom to wash up.

The process of leaving wasn't difficult, in fact, it was rather easy. However, he could sense the nervousness exuding out of not only the brothers, but also the staff and housekeepers as they quietly let him out of the house and then the gate.

Before cycling away, Beomgyu caught a glimpse of pity on one of the butlers' face. Pity for who? The Kang children? Beomgyu? Or Taehyun...?

Beomgyu didn't have much time to ponder about it after that day. Taehyun never spoke about his parents, and while his parents were back without leaving the house for work, they chose to study in a cafe near Beomgyu's neighbourhood. Taehyun would always pay for the food and drinks, and he never complained about the drastically different environment of this particular neighbourhood and his.
