"Love prevails all."
The long haired boy swung his feet as he sat on the porch swing, eyes trained on his own worn out sneakers and the moving shadow they were making.
"How?"
Beomgyu finally turned to look at the young boy sitting beside him and shrugged with a sheepish smile. Gently brushing his overgrown bangs away from his vision, he carefully stopped the swing and gave Sieun a verbal answer, "I don't really know. It's what I was taught. I think it's romantic though, like all those fairytales and story books we used to read in our childhood... isn't this why you asked me what love does? I wonder what Taehyun thinks about this though."
"He said he doesn't know too much about it" Sieun gave the older boy a small smile, "I think he doesn't care about such things... he makes his own rules and only believes in himself. If he thinks Powder is a red panda, then it is a red panda in his world."
"Huh" Beomgyu gave him a dumbfounded and funny look, his eyesbrows squeezing together and lips spreading into a confused smile, "that's a strange example."
Sieun giggled at his facial expression and shook his head lightly, "what I meant is, while everyone thinks that Beomgyu hyung is average looking, which you aren't by the way, and Taehyun hyung believes that you're really pretty, then he doesn't care about what others say and only stands by his own belief. You can say he's a little stubborn, but he is someone who has a lot of thoughts and is firm about what he believes in. What others think don't waver his confidence in his beliefs easily."
"I see..." Beomgyu leaned his head back, allowing his bangs to spread and slide to the sides, exposing his forehead to the ceiling, "your hyung is a really strong person."
"Maybe" Sieun glanced at him before copying his action, "I'm not too sure."
"Why's that?"
"He's just acting. Sometimes. He's a bit lonely."
The long haired boy didn't comment on that for a long while. A comfortable silence took over the boys as they quietly listened to the windbell attached to the port tinkling.
"I can see that" was what Beomgyu whispered to break the silence.
"Do you still dislike hyung?"
"Not anymore actually" Beomgyu lifted his head and looked over at the young boy, "he's a little different lately. It's kind of nice to see this new and more open side of him. He used to be so serious all the time- is it weird that I'm telling all of these to you? You're his younger brother, I'm sorry if it made you uncomfortable."
"It's totally fine" Sieun grinned, "I understand you."
"You don't sound 12... are you an old man stuck in a child's body?"
The young boy laughed loudly at that and pulled his feet up onto the swing and leaned closer to Beomgyu, already feeling comfortable with physical interactions with him.
"They said I'm a little like Taehyun hyung" Sieun said thoughtfully, "oh, though there aren't many interesting stories about hyung since he does everything and succeed in whatever he does... he's a little boring in that sense- do you want to hear how he treats us siblings?"
