Adriana's POV
We're on the jet flying to Seattle. Xander is in the bedroom of the jet being depressed. I'm annoyed knowing that when we touch down we'll be staying in a rental directly next door to the Lombardi's.
Since the incident we've attended four family therapy sessions which ended in dad and Alessandro almost getting into a fist fight. The therapist relayed this information to the judge who mandated we spend the entire trip as one big blended family.
"I don't understand why the judge is insisting on torturing us."
"I know this isn't ideal but going in with the mindset that this trip is going to be miserable will only manifest a miserable trip. Let's just try our best to make the most of this. This is the first step of adulthood for both you and Xander." Mabel tried to lighten the mood
"That's enough optimism Bambi." Dad told her
"I'm being serious Bunny. Lead by example." She scolded dad
"Unbelievable." Granny scoffed
"What?" Dad and I asked
"Like father like daughter. Both of you rolled your eyes at the same time." They explained
"Tell the judge that." We both muttered
"Both of you can sit on timeout if you're going to throw tantrums." Gramps told us
"Alessandro was really remorseful about everything so let's just take everything at face value. It'll make things more bearable." Alessio suggested
"Easy for you to say you fucking suck up."
"JJ, don't be mean to your brother and watch your mouth."
I muttered an apology to my twin
"Adriana where is your suitcase?" Gramps asked
"Over there why?" I pointed at it
"Nothing at all." He said as he opened up my suitcase
"Damn you're in for it now." Nikolai laughed
"Dad why are you going through her stuff?" Dad asked him
"To make sure she doesn't bring anything unnecessary. He spoke while taking out all my guns, knives, and even explosives."
"You brought a bomb on the plane?" Sergei yelled
"I wrapped it in clothes so it's fine." I brushed off
"It's not a bottle of perfume JJ. Wrapping it in clothes won't stop it from making a mess." Dimitri scolded me
"Let's try to enjoy the rest of our plane ride."
We all nodded and granny went to get Xander to join us.
"Did you finalize your guest list?" Xander asked speaking for the first time this flight
"We did. Since the venue is small we can only invite a little under three hundred people. We're limiting the wedding to both our families, our future, and current allies."
"So what's next for planning?" I ask
"When we get back we'll put in the order for the invitations. We'll also be looking into staff and catering." Dad answered
"It's honestly stressful to think how little time we have to plan. Any tips?" Mabel asked granny
"I couldn't handle the stress and left it completely in Vladimir's hands. The only thing I chose was my wedding dress. I had the embroidery from my late mother's dress hand sewn onto mine." She smiled recounting her wedding day
