Vladimir's POV

"Do not grant his idiotic request! You know as well as I do what will become of Adriana's mental state. She needs to focus on school and family." Aleksandr yelled in between sips of his drink

"You've drank more than enough nephew." My twin went to grab his drink

The last thing we need is an intoxicated and upset Aleksandr

"I'm fine." He pulled his glass away

He normally saves his everclear lemonade for poker nights but tonight her grabbed his most concentrated glass.

"We could always move back." Roman suggested

"You don't think I want to?! It's unbecoming for the Tsar of the underworld to have to cater to another made man. Elijah keeps pushing his luck. So much so I might forget his relationship to me and slaughter his family." He growled

"And you're cut off. Give me the cup." My father told him sternly

Aleksandr has always listen to my father. As a child he was especially close to his grandfather. He rarely ever talks back to Vlad and on the off chance he does, Al will cave the second my father takes a stern tone with him.

"Fuck off." He stood up and chugged the rest of his drink

"Aleksandr!" My father scolded

"I'm fucking fine." My stupid son walked to the fridge for another cup of his battery acid cocktail

"I swear to God I will circumcise you if you grab another cup."

Aleksandr flinched at his grandfather's threat and slammed the fridge door

"Why won't you move back to Russia if you hate it here so much?" I asked

"Alessio has all his friends here and he wants to graduate high school in the states. Xander just committed to a school in the US so for the next four years we're stuck in this fucking place."

"Who cares what they want?"

"I do. Since they aren't in danger and I'm still as powerful as ever, I can't really justify displacing my kids. We also have the ongoing family court case. I wouldn't want to draw too much legal attention to myself. Once this case settles I'll reconsider the length of our stay."

"Until then I think working with Elijah will be a good exercise for Adriana." I admitted

"You can't be serious?" He narrowed his eyes at me

"Adriana will be on hiatus from training once she moves and we'd personally be more comfortable letting her end her training if she does this." My twin reasoned

"That's lunacy."

"I understand your concern Aleksandr and I share them too. But in order for JJ to become a competent ruler of the underworld she has to learn to separate her work self from her real self. When we first exposed you to the underworld we left you to deal with you anger on your own. You also didn't have regular exposure to people outside of that bubble. I think agreeing to this arrangement now and helping JJ work through the emotions that come with being a menace will help her out in the long run. We just have to stay on top of talking with her."

"I agree with my brother. This is an opportunity for us to do right by an heir. There's no taking back what we did to you but if we can make her transition into being a self reliant made woman we will."
